  1. That's OTT. I've never liked Pardew but any manager looking for work would agree to taking a job while someone else is in it. Heck, we hammer Shepherd even now for the way he got rid of Robson without a replacement lined up.
  2. http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/michael-hastings-rolling-stone-contributor-dead-at-33-20130618#ixzz2We1x4Qdk What Parky makes of this might be something I worry could be true....though only a tiny bit.
  3. Thought it was a joke about the American version being a shot for shot remake.
  4. Pardew is being tortured here like. Dave Lambezee and kinnear will be sending him on the sandwich run, telling him to go and ask Graeme carr for the long stand, flipping his screen upside down and all sorts.
  5. Can't stop giggling at this phrase. Reminds me of Seinfeld when Kramer says "It's all water near a bridge" I've decided I like him.
  6. 7 years left on his contract and working under a world cup winning manager that taught Alex Ferguson everything he knew. Why on earth would he resign?
  7. Just remind yourself of Kinnear's performance as he tells us how unfair the fans were on his excellent work at the club... Premier League points won by every NUFC manager with 10 or more games... Kevin Keegan 61.54% Sir Bobby Robson 53.19% Glenn Roeder 47.44% Alan Pardew 45.24% Kenny Dalglish 45.24% Sam Allardyce 41.27% Chris Hughton 39.58% Graeme Souness 39.39% Kevin Keegan 2 36.84% Ruud Gullit 36.59% Joe Kinnear 34.72%
  8. While I agree there can be no complaints from people who were clamouring for some action from Ashley because they felt Pardew wasn't up to the task (they were well warned about the quality of man we would bring in), I don't think you can go as far as blaming them. There weren't protests or "Pardew Out" songs in the stadium. This is pure Ashley, same as bringing in Dennis Wise. No fans had called for Keegan's head back then. I smell another constructive dismissal coming along.
  9. “You guys don’t understand how fackin 'orrible we can be”
  10. Why is there not a site like this for top flight footballers http://cinema-series.orange.fr/evenement/universeries/en/
  11. There was loads of cracking "banter". Totally different to the Sunderland game like. Nobody was laughing at that.
  12. http://www.guardian....s-whistleblower Love it. He's like Robin Hood, stealing secrets from the rich and giving them to the poor...and trending worldwide as he does it.
  13. His personal investment is hundreds of millions because he paid £150m for the club and loaned another £110m back in. If, following relegation we had not bounced back up, if we'd continued to drop, then he would not have seen that money back. Same if we were relegated last year.
  14. Fuck all. Matchday income has halved from 50% of turnover to 25% TV income has trebled from 20% of turnover to 60%.
  15. People were happy to go to games when Hall and Shepherd were tens of millions in profit off the back of the club, and debts were run up secured on the loyalty of fans alone. Those same people are refusing to go now and justifying it because the owner is taking the piss so they're not willing to line his pockets...while his personal investment in the club remains at hundreds of millions. The be all and end all is that people go when we do well and stop going when we don't. It's the measure of a fan to be honest about that. Don't justify it as any sort of moral crusade, trying to make out you are more of a supporter for sacrificing that which you love.
