  1. Finally got round to watching The Dark Night Rises. Absolutely brilliant film.
  2. Nicolas Jaar has remixed all of Random Access Memories. Listen here... http://pitchfork.com/news/51260-listen-darkside-nicolas-jaar-remixes-daft-punks-random-access-memories-in-full/
  3. Instagram Video pisses on Vine from a considerable height. http://instagram.com/p/azuYG7h0AV/
  4. I think Ashley likes to play Billy Big Bollocks. He likes to be the smartest guy in the room. He doesn't want a manager, chairman or director of football that tells him something he doesn't believe. He wants a man to come in who is firmly in agreement with his vision of what football is about, both on the field and in the boardroom. I think Ashley sees it as a very simple game, so he needs a very simple man to come in, who will not challenge him on his preconceptions. It doesn't have to be pretty for Ashley, like his shops, buy cheap, sell at a profit. Stock your cheapest tat (players I mean) alongside your expensive brands (the ones that bring in the punters) turn a profit on the cheap ones, not necessarily the big names.
  5. Maybe do a few teams at a time, based on where they finished (or can expect to)... Man U and Man City Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs Everton, WBA, Swansea, West Ham, Fulham Norwich, Stoke, Southampton, Villa Mackems and the promoted teams
  6. Hope you had a good day.
  7. Which Newcastle players would you like to see in your side?
  8. http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/33861-newcastle-united-v-reading/page__st__280#entry1163761 JawD takes the lead from Mystic Stevie
  9. The worst bit of your whole post. Derek Llambias leaving the club was an opportunity to win fans over. Everyone would be delighted to see the back of him at any other time. Anyone with a passing consideration of PR would see the opportunity to manage the announcements. Break the news that he's going with your thanks, but recognise the fractious relationship he had with fans and your hope that a new man can build some bridges. Announce you want a football man in to replace him and people will be even happier. If it then HAD to be Kinnear...let Pardew save face and make the announcement himself...let him tell reporters it was his idea, that Kinnear was a man Ashley new and trusted, but also someone he could work with. If Ashley has asked Kinnear to go about things like he has then he is a fucking muppet, if he didn't ask him to then he's an even bigger muppet for allowing it to go on as it has.
  10. We played 14 games after the window closed and won 17 points. In the 14 games before the window closed we won 9 points. The extra depth was a godsend.
  11. Most? Perhaps on N-O. Loads of us on here remained unconvinced.
  12. In what sense? Are you considering another patented 180?
  13. Aye, I meant those that insist on having a shitty video with unlistenable audio from the event don't annoy anyone as they get lost in the sea of people with their phones out contributing to the show.
  14. We've been watching Douglas for 18 months....at least. If Kinnear has come in and put the kaibosh on it, without even seeing the lad, then it's clearly a move to stamp his authority on the club. Not something I'd ever doubt he would do, the way he goes on. Dread to think which CB he'll bring in at a months notice. The one thing this club has got right in the last 2 years is our meticulous transfer policy. We all want more investment, but other than that, everyone has been happy with it. This fucker is coming in and dropping a bomb on that.
  15. That should be much better than the Arena then. A quarter of the size. I'd jump at that.
  16. Dan Deacon has an app that people going to gigs can download. It then syncs their phone with the light desk at the gig and people there can hold them aloft and be part of the show. Love owt like that me.
  17. Whenever I've seen him he'll do one or two obscure ones for the die hards, three or four off his latest album and the rest of the set is the classics. So there should be plenty to enjoy....but he does "re-imagine" a lot of the classics. He's got 3 minutes into "like a rolling stone" before I realized that's what he was playing before. I love those surprises but I've seen people get very angry about it. If its in a smaller/mid-size venue I wouldn't think twice about recommending him. In venues the size of the arena though he can totally lose the audience. No screens or owt for him. Every gig he does has a set list online so you can have a look at what he's playing these days. Looks like he is doing less of the oldies.... http://www.bobdylan.com/us/events
  18. Anyone know if there's a calendar I can import to my gmail calendar yet? Preferebaly one that will change as fixture times do....and will include cup/friendly fixtures once known?
  19. In addition to correcting Kinnear, I've had a look at his other buys and sells that surpassed a million... Efan Ekoku Cost £1m Sold £0.5m Ben Thatcher Cost £1.7m Sold £5m Mark Kennedy Cost £1.75m Sold Free Andy Roberts Cost £2m Sold Free Michael Hughes Cost £1.6m Sold £1m Gareth Ainsworth Cost £2m Sold Free
  20. Moyes's first five games include Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City...the latter 2 away. Baptism of fire.
  21. run in ain't too pretty though. Liverpool , Man U and Arsenal and other relegation bait like Cardyd, Swansea and Stoke.
