None of these made sight and sound's top 250. Places in brackets... Return of The King (no place) Deerhunter (377) It Happened one night (447)
-
Metropolis - Out before the Oscars started. Schindlers List - Too sappy for Sight & Sound, came in at number 546 for them The Artist - Only got to number 894 in Sight and sound top 1000 On The Waterfront - Sight and sound films with 1 vote were all joint 894th. This is one of them too.
-
Apocalypse Now - No Oscar Battleship Potemkin - No Oscar...nor a place in the IMDB top 250 Gladiator - Not good enough for Sight and Sound Star Wars - Although Sight and Sound surprisingly have it in their high brow list, it never won the oscar. Some Like It Hot - Again, No Oscar The Tramp - You mean Chaplin? That one wasn't considered a great. But either way, No Chaplin amongst the 7.
-
Never won the Oscar. Hearst (who it was a bit of a character assassination of) used the full might of his media empire to bury it at the time.
-
Showgirls certainly won my onanism oscar as a young teenager. Unfortunately the academy didn't get as much out of it. Godfather is 1.

Only 7 films appear in the IMDB top 250, the Sight and sound top 250 and the Best Film oscar winners list. ?

..and let the trolls have it to themselves? NEVER!! -
Not so sure about that like. League one is about reserve standard....and they are one of the worst teams in league one. P2 L2 F1 A9 Could be an utterly disheartening stint for the lad. ...on the other hand, he could single handedly lift the whole club and his confidence 100%.

The new sincere CT - Ashley could appoint Bubbles the chimp as DOF and a boomerang as team manager and it would be a good appointment. Mike can do no wrong. -

We all sincerely hope it goes swimmingly. Do you actually think it will though? Is it actually a sensible appointment. Your a wumming liar if you think he could have done much worse. -
You should make it your next "thing". I know Boldon is a shithole, but there are plenty of routes you can do. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/ You find the time for football, pints, burgers, budgies, fish, home brew, camping, landscaping, cooking....or at least getting half way through doing those things.

Your support of Kinnear (and Harford when we thought he was coming) in that sincere category? -
Like Bafra with a pudding.

Headphones in for an hour long bike ride a day CT. Ride to a pub half an hour away for a pint. That would motivate you.

Whenever CT posts as if to say "look I was right again", remember that he will lavish praise upon anyone and everyone. Sometimes it's just to be a wind up merchant, sometimes he is sincere. But any character involved at NUFC over the past 5 years, has had his faith at some point.... Examples... "Dennis Wise Needs a Chance" "I predict everyone will love Joe by Christmas." "Chris [Hughton], you have my full support!" "Pardew for England" "Must confess to being a massive Barton fan" "LuaLua back in full trainng today, as good as a new signing." "Mike Ashley Football Genius!" Marveaux... etc. If Shane Ferguson went on to be a future ballon d'or winner, CT STILL wouldn't have been "right" about him, because it was a random decision to sing his praises, based on Erdinger intake the first time he saw him, not an informed one. Glad to see Ferguson picking up performances. We might even get 7 figures when we sell at this rate. -
Last time they were on over here Ajax got beat 4-1. Defender must have done well to shine in a game where they concede 4.

Be a bit daft to still be chatting about him coming back from Birmingham. I've fixed the title for you though, so as to avoid confusion. -
All the other doggers gone home by now?

Only Power Control and my built in calender. I use Tasker too. So when I plug in headphones I automatically get a pop-up asking me what audio app I want to use.
