It suggests Saul isn't gonna be in business any more as a minimum.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23723537 It shouldn't really say "following" because it's only based on home games.

In a perfect world I'd prefer the mega rich owners that pump money in to all be banished, but as long as any other club has one then I want one too.

I went downstairs after the last penalty because my tenant had been on the phone about the boiler dying and he wanted an engineer out to sort it so i needed a quiet corner. Dunno if the others that were leaving at the same time all had boiler trouble too.

Why don't we see more of this? very polite.

Why would loads of kids make a good atmosphere? Pissheads sing. Kids and their sober parents sit in the Leazes moaning that no-one else is making an atmosphere for them. I agree that the atmosphere wasn't exactly fevered and that Di Canio was one of the best players. I commented as much to the lads. It's just typical CT that ALL you choose to take from the occasion when reporting back is to have a dig at everyone involved except the one mackem who turned out, who you single out for praise. Everyone has told you as much.
-
You weren't at Shearer's so you won't remember the thousands upon thousands of Scotch pissheeds that came down for it and never stopped singing throughout. The AC Milan travelling contingent wasn't quite there to bounce off last night was it.

Added a spoiler for you CT. Realise it's just what's in the announcement, but I think it's too much information....suggests at an ending to the current series.

CT never ceases to amaze with the contrary twatfullness like. The standard of football at Rob Lee's testimonial was much higher CT, but it was a fucking embarrassment as a testimonial. Last night was a great occasion for Harper and for the charities he is supporting. Everyone involved, playing or watching was there to see that happen and have a bit of a laugh at the roly poly bald folk... ..perhaps that's what touched a nerve? Anyway, moving on, the one thing that surprised me was the reception for Joey Barton. It was one of the biggest of the night. The fella is contemptible scum, i wouldn't mind his paid stint in jail at our expense if he hadn't been so instrumental in our relegation after getting out, idiotically getting sent off at Liverpool. He made partial amends during the promotion season and our first year back up, but how that justifies that glorious welcome is beyond me, especially when (for example) Brian Kilcline got a gentle applause. Kilcline was the signing that Newcastle's past 20+ years has been built on. i was all for politely applauding the lad, but I think people like his Twitter feed more than his Newcastle service.

Great picture that like Taking Ben, my nephew (LBW's boy) to his first game against Hull.

Di canio's shot further to the right than his views there.

Off the back of the NSA leaks, Adam Curtis did a great blog on spies. i particularly like this story on the origin of MI5... http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamcurtis/posts/BUGGER It's a much longer read at his site and highly recommended, as all his stuff is.

The NSA will be delighted with this new biometric data.

4 wanks a day?! I suppose I could spoil myself.

wake-shower-cycle to work-shower-cycle home from work-shower-wank-shower-bed Which showers can I cut out?
-
It just depends on your job. No-one digging roads or working in a hot kitchen is going to bother with a shower before work. No-one sitting on their lazy arse at a computer all day drinking coffee is going to get suited up in a clean pressed shirt without a shower first. I'm sure no-one is dirty. Except CT, the one wash a week abhorrent tramp.

the long term effect of mike ashley on newcastle united

Rob Lee's was twice the price, and just a pre-season game for the squad at the time. No guests or old timers. Still, twice the player for us Harper has been and we had £10m new boy Lauren Robert strutting his stuff for the first time. The apparently passionate fans that had supposedly had more enthusiasm than we currently do let Lee down big style there....as we did Bobby Robson a couple of years later. -

It's impossible to say how Ashley will be remembered. Some total fuckwits now view Keegan dimly, so there's no accounting for idiocy. Nothing he has done to wind up fans has been anything that would be seen as historically significant though. Managers, DOF's, players and sponsors all come and go. Even changing the stadium name was a temporary thing quickly undone. His legacy will only be defined in terms of what we see on the pitch and the financial strength of the club. Currently that leaves him with a relegation to his name and a doubling of the club debt. But it does give scope for a transformation. Both of those issues could be justified as the pain before the gain, if he were to win a cup, if he could grow the revenue so that debt could be paid down AS WELL AS bringing in top quality players. To be fair to the bloke, I think we are on the way to the latter. He just cannot be trusted to invest proactively when the opportunity presents itself to push on. -

On the harper testimonial not being a sell out, it's sold far more tickets than Rob Lee got for his. Perhaps a rose tinted view of how supporters were in recent history. -
Isn't their budget version still more expensive than the s4 though?
