  1. Whatever anyone thinks of the poor performances, I have to wonder how a player feels when Pardew tells them how to set up. Santon is told to take all our corners. Left and right! I think that makes Pardew a cunt. So what does Santon make of it? Watching 4 spurs players break down their right while santon was still by the corner flag was a predictable result. No wonder heads drop. He doesn't even give us a chance. The prick.
  2. "@milesstarforth: #Nufc team v #thfc: Krul; Debuchy, Williamson, S Taylor, Santon; Gouffran, Sissoko, Anita, Sammy Ameobi; de Jong, Cisse."
  3. If I'm going to criticise him for anything then Transformers heads the queue like. Anything else he does has more value....even impersonating the man with the stick.
  4. Whenever I think of Andy Carroll handing in a transfer request I think of Homer eating Pinchy the lobster.
  5. 4 Only one of the bottom 10 (Norwich) to travel to. ..but they have a better record against top half teams, and they're 6th on the last 6 games... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2013-2014/form-table/full 9th in 18 games (since Poyet arrived). Think they'll be ok.
  6. Can imagine no points from their next 4 games. Lost 4 on the trot before Man U and relied on a deflection and a raker to beat them. More hopeful than confident like.
  7. http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/31769-whos-had-the-easiest-start/page-8 Fulham down to 1/2 now Still hopeful of Stoke too. Stats at work
  8. It was nae house of fools. But I'll stick with it
  9. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/9152959/premier-league-newcastle-united-suspend-coach-willie-donachie-for-disciplinary-reasons What's he been up to? Get violent after we got beat off the mackems?
  10. I thought Psychoville was excellent. Looking forward to this.
  11. No-one looks in the photography forum though.
  12. Fountain was my local for ten year. Marsden inn was always a shithole though. Nice enough place, but the clientele were all from Horsely Hill. Second only to the Woodbine for radgies. You're right it's full of hounds. I was too good looking so had to leave
  13. Aye, they still have the Leeds pendant up but I think they run a coach up to the SOL. Certainly all the young ones who haunt the pool room are mackems because a lad I go to games with is mates with them and is in a running war of words
  14. Most pubs probably sway mackem, especially in the south of the town, round Marsden if that's where you've been spending time.... The Fountain, Bamburgh, Grey Hen, New Crown, County etc. I'm basing that on owners 15 years ago like. More Northern bars on the banks of the Tyne are better for that. The Riverside, The Waterfront and Steamboat which don't put coaches on or owt, but will show definitely show Newcastle games rather than the mackems on a Saturday afternoon. Only other one that springs to mind is The Westoe. Maybe The Mariner as well.
  15. I'm sure Stevie telt me I was talking utter shit when I said exactly what he's saying now 4 years back.
  16. Just because you're under the thumb and have to go cycling in the woods every saturday after programming your hoover, it doesn't mean the rest of us shouldn't enjoy a day out with the lads watching men kick a pigs bladder every other week. As is tradition.
  17. Why is it ok to boycott now? Would you give Man U fans that go to old trafford in Green and Gold a pass if their attendances dropped to 40k now that Moyes is doing a bit shit. It's not a stand being made on principal if you decide to take that stand 7 years after the owner arrived, or 3 years after he appointed the manager and sold your other biggest assets. If you enjoyed the season where his approach took you to 5th place and then the Europa campaign that followed, but decided to make the stand when you're playing shit and get beaten in the derby then you are doing the opposite of supporting the team through thick and thin, and you're trying to justify it with high minded footballese. In reality you're throwing your toys out the pram and going in a huff. There's no principal to it whatsoever and anyone making out otherwise is a charlatan. I may not stand by this in a month or two when my renewal comes out.
  18. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-25983313 Love the stick insects one
  19. Been fun reading about the sacrifice they're making in not driving up for 2 games a year any more.
  20. Under the terms of the Wonga deal he was only allowed to sort out loans.
  21. Personally, I don't know of anyone that's jacked in.
  22. The difference in TV money between 2013/14 (£79.1m - £97.8m) and 11/12 (£54.2m) is between £25m and £44m. More than enough to cover our entire matchday revenue in 11/12 (£23.9m). He could give tickets away to the full stadium for every game and be no worse off. Even a 17th place finish will returnup to £79.2m. Which is £25m extra, again, enough to cover the loss of ticket sales. http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2012/06/19/premier-league-tv-rights-qa-including-where-the-money-goes-and-what-next-190601/
