  1. Happy birthday ...I suppose
  2. I've got their entire back catalogue and I've tried listening to it, enjoyed plenty, but I couldn't name another track and i don't give them repeated listens at all...apart from this one which i must have played twice (three times) as much as anything else in the past 7 years. I could have it on a loop all day and have done. It's head and shoulders above anything else I listen to as a personal favourite. Don't know anyone else that likes the song or the band, never heard it on radio or seen it on tv so it's always felt like I'm the only one who sees the genius. Do you feel like that about anything? I don't want any blighters listing more than one, I'll mod your ass [/Tarantino] if you do. Which single track do you hold higher than all others and why?
  3. It's half price at the moment as well. Usually $5, now $2.50.
  4. I just got round to installing plex on my devices. Been mentioned on here years ago. But its gorgeous. I can use any of the media on my home PC anywhere I go. I'm listening to podcasts from iTunes on my mobile remotely. Listening to my personal 200gb music library on my work PC. Also let's me chromecast to TVs anywhere I like so I can show a whole room of people my photos, videos, music without having to prepare any of it on a USB or upload to the cloud. Can also share my servers or parts of it with other people. So my dear old mother who struggles with tech can login to her Plex account and see all my TV series, films etc and watch them at her house. Can't believe it's taken me so long to discover it. Exactly what I've been looking for, for years. Just need gemmil to tell me how to get it running on xbmc now.
  5. Losing 11 out of 26 games is bareable. Conceding 3 or more in 7 of those losses is a disgrace though. We can win tight games or we totally capitulate.
  6. He's out of position because he's taking corners from either side. Or Because Stevie Taylor is doing his super Geordie burst through the middle. I was constantly frustrated by how exposed we were in Santon's position through no fault of his. He must be twice as pissed off.
  7. I didn't ignore it. No more than you've ignored that the other 2 teams were among the worst sides in the league. 3 if you include Cardiff in the cup as well.
  8. I wasn't arguing that Cabaye's departure made no difference at all. I'm saying Pardew was already struggling with a bad run of results even with him in the team. Cabaye leaving didn't force Pardew to play Taylor ahead of Mbiwa, to watch him try and fail to pass it out of defence time and again crumbling under any iota of pressure. Or to have Santon on corners and Williamson as the main target man in the box. Leaving Debuchy to get pulled over to the left to cover for them as the lone defender so we were bent all out of shape for every counter attack from a faster, stronger, fitter, opponent. To have players so lacking in any understanding of what they were doing in his "system" and so incapable of communication that they repeatedly challenged each other for headers without a Spurs player anywhere close. Players so lacking in motivation that they were second to every loose ball, easily muscled out of possession, failed to even attempt any recovery when they did lose it and could barely muster an off the ball run to receive a pass when we did have it. After Cabaye departed I credited Pardew with the Norwich performance. He seemed to have used the opportunity to galvanize our entire midfield into believing it was their chance to step up. Looks more and more like those players had their spirits lifted by their own notions of going onto bigger and better and Pardew has brought them all back down to earth with a bang. Only Sammy retained any of that enthusiasm.
  9. Bar nothing you have to go back to 1987 to find a worse run of results don't you?
  10. No, I'm claiming Pardew's limitations were clear before Cabaye left. He went on a similar run of losing 10 out of 13 last season as well. Cabaye played West Brom and Swansea and Hull. He's a big miss for those games he could lift us, but he isn't coming back is he, so if we're forgiving performances like last night, like the Mackems and like Cardiff (because we were without Cabaye) then we only have a fuckload more shite to look forward to.
  11. Souness played a load of UEFA games at the arse end of nowhere and took us to a cup semi final. In the league his record was 29%. Dalglish too. His league record was 34% Not that i like win % like. It's points % that counts.... and Pardew has fallen behind Roeder on that score... Kevin Keegan 61.54% Sir Bobby Robson 53.19% Glenn Roeder 47.44% Alan Pardew 45.70% Kenny Dalglish 45.24% Sam Allardyce 41.27% Chris Hughton 39.58% Graeme Souness 39.39% Kevin Keegan 2 36.84% Ruud Gullit 36.59% Joe Kinnear 34.72% Alan Shearer 20.83%
  12. Aye. But if you can't afford a new roof and you've got a leak you still put a bit of tarp over the hole.
  13. There's times when i take that view and times when i don't. Last Christmas he should have gone after losing 10 in 13. He looks well on his way to repeating that abysmal run now.
  14. We've scored in 1 game from 8. Cabaye's only been gone 4 games. The problems with Pardew were apparent before Cabaye went anywhere. He's a fucking idiot. Should have held his hands up last night as he was tactically outdone. Pinning it on the players stinks of Di Canio style desperation and they're going to turn on him even more if he keeps blaming them.
