  1. Another graph.... For those people that seem certain Ashley's doing such a better job. The ONLY positive I can see is the one that Ashley had from the day he arrived, he's wealthy enough to cover the cluster fuck he inherited and worsened.
  2. https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2014/02/27/moazzam-begg-arrest-part-effort-criminalize-muslim-political-dissent/ When I heard about his arrest, even I, the leftiest lefty liberal on the board thought "ah well, turns out he was a wrongun". Keep needing to be reminded how underhand the government can be.
  3. Growing up would involve not bothering with the multi millionaires kicking an inflated sack around the grass. Given the fact I'm childish enough to still be bothered about that I think it's fair enough to make childish demands on the owner.
  4. Absolutely, but the justification for Ashley NOT paying for ANY advertising, is the fact that he has £129m owed to him from the club. Through his free advertising and other activities that devalue the brand he has cost the club £13.8m a year though. Which would dwarf the interest on that debt.
  5. In 2012 Man City's commercial income was £121m a year Liverpool £63m Spurs £41m Previously (2007) NUFCs was £27.6M, in 2012 it had halved to £13.8m. Below Norwich (£14m) and Sunderland (£16.8m). There's no way the interest on £129m borrowing would be £13.8m a year. That's over 10%. http://swissramble.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/premier-league-201112-some-girls-are.html
  6. Steve Cole and Gordon Gilchrist seem to ask good questions, so it isn't a complete PR exercise. Would just be nice if they countered on some of the lies being spouted to their faces. Vishal Vedhara comes across to me as a plant. One question on equality (his role) and half a dozen other interjections on what a good job they're doing selling players and following the Arsenal model. He's had the wool pulled right over his eyes.
  7. Probably not. Like I say, waste of time if the club don't approach it with good intentions.
  8. Apparently they renew it every 2 years so others get a chance
  9. Also from those "pre-accounts" minutes .... But now the accounts say... For January AND the summer before. Anita, Curtis Good, Bigirimana and Amalfitano were close to £10m that summer. What is the point of a forum where the fans are lied to so brazenly? It shouldn't be dignified by the attendance of any fan, it just suggests gullibility enough to buy into the shite.
  10. From the minutes at the first fans forum of the season.. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Fans/FansForum/0,,10278~3462657,00.html So if we don't achieve the bare minimum we don't hold anyone to account, we just reduce the minimum.
  11. Can't have. Wouldn't be fair to demand so much more while not signing a single player.
  12. Why is Pardew still in a job when he finished 16th then?
  13. Bollocks "From 2001 to 2005 the club only paid interest on its long-term loan taken out to extend the ground. This was set at £4.5m a year up to 2016. Things started to deteriorate in 2006 and again in 2007. Close to an extra £3m in interest payments were needed in 2007 compared to a couple of years earlier." It never reached £8m at it's worst.
  14. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Fans/FansForum/0,,10278~3686671,00.html Eh? it's in last years books that he took £11m back. The lying bastards.
  15. And on the other hand he says "the top of the pops" repeatedly for 15 minutes with increasingly withering contempt until its absurdly funny.
  16. Does anyone think pardew or coloccini or Nolan wrote their program notes?
  17. Ignoring the good news bear's perception of commercial/match day income and turnover rising since last year, in the overall scheme of things they remain either pretty much static or down overall under Ashley. At least they're going the right direction.
  18. Interesting to note that despite all the claims of an unsustainable wage bill when Ashley arrived, and being pleased about being lower than 70%, the Wages as % of turnover still remain higher than they were at any point under the previous owner.

  20. 3 on the road. 7 points from the reverse fixtures (3 of those at home.) At that rate Man U and Everton would only need a couple of draws each to leave us in the same position we are now. They'll get much more than that though and it won't look particularly tasty.
  21. Has he pissed off anyone (everyone?) on the Anonymous forums?
  22. that's not to say the linesman would have give it like. Fucked up on penalties and corners all day long so no doubt would have called that wrong too.
