  1. Only the people who empathise with Mr Ashley could be described as having Stockhom Syndrome related to him. The likes of Toonpack, BigWalrus and CT. I think they've all given up their Season Tickets though, so it's not a particularly strong affection they've built.
  2. Seeing them score just once means seeing them score any number during one game you saw. I may be inarticulate and inaccurate, but I'm not paid as a writer or a statistician so spending an hour of my work day on it was cheeky enough to start, without going into second and third drafts.

  4. 4 more times on Saturday the ball was lumped into the box for Williamson. He won 2 and lost 2 headers. Nowt came of any. In 4 years he has 2 assists and no goals. But Pardew's major tactic reamins to hit him EVERY time. Utterly clueless.
  5. In what sense? Moyes had full control of every area at Everton. Kenwright hired a manager to manage everything. Didn't stick his beak in. Let him manage his own limited budget, paid him £4m a year. Gave him autonomy. Newcastle manager is paid £500k to work with what they're given and say nothing derogatory whatsoevere about the upper Hierarchy.
  6. At least they have the excuse of not being professional pundits. Lee Ryder's latest article is comparing robson's end of 00/01 slump (lost 6 in 16) to Pardew's current slump (lost 12 in 17). Unbelievable.
  7. But I didn't say that every player that plays in their own position and knows their job will necessarily play well. But that the ONLY players to have played well, are players that play in their own position and know the drill. Those are 2 distinct things.
  8. Interesting that the only people to have performed well in your view are players that have a clear mission and start in a specific, consistent position which is never tinkered with. Does that tell us anything in itself?
  9. Cheers. I remember the small protest outside reception but not any of the chants in the ground. Can you remember what they were? "You don't know what you're doing" and that?
  10. Not that I remember. Interested to see any NUFC.com reports that say he did. They're usually canny good at logging owt like that.
  11. Straight after the final whistle. We only went behind a minute earlier so discontent was always going to wait until then.
  12. http://t.co/90NtUNmamE I've never heard "xxxxx out" to any mamager at sjp in my life.
  13. Unsurprising to see CT defending him. And turning on Ashley the genius. He goes against the grain so much we should change his user name to See Saw.
  14. Aye. People were just waiting to express discontent but pardew was lucky we didn't go behind until the stadium was almost empty.
  15. Cheers, I posted it on here before the Mag hoyed it up though http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/28926-alan-pardew/page-360#entry1270873
  16. Someone on Twitter challenged me on it. Said it's not as bad as I made it look because he's played so many more games than all the other bad managers. Per game his GD is better than Souness and co. That is true. As discussed with Ewerk earlier. However, in December 2012 Pardew's Goal Difference was zero, and then it nose-dived.... Which means over 56 games Pardew's GD is -32 Over the same period Sunderland have a goal Difference of -31
  17. For anyone that likes these things, I've shared a spreadsheet with every result going back 25 years. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByKcu35MQu-pUnQwSzN5Q1A1eWc/edit?pli=1 Download it and you can filter on managers, opposnents, home, away, goals scored, golas conceded, where we were in the league at the time, or date. Perfect for quickly finding out things like how many games Souness lost by 3 or more at home in November while we were in the top half and that sort of thing. There was one. a 4-1 defeat off Fulham.
  18. I think Spreading it out over all his games does him a big favour. look at it another way. He does have the worst total goal difference of ALL our Premier League managers...
  19. Scored 56 the year we came fifth. Highest total in a decade. So he has one of the better goals for records, while also having a pretty poor goals against total.
  20. Roeder +0.1 Hughton -0.1 Pardew -0.2 Souness - 0.3 Allardyce -0.3 Kinnear -0.3 Keegan -0.5 Shearer -0.8
