  1. Of course it does. They pay Ashley for that contract. If Ashley causes them to make a loss they won't renew.
  2. Leave. It would make the point even better. It's not about single performances or recent performances, it's 7 years of constant shit and diminishing returns.
  3. It adds a bit of excitement to the game wondering doesn't it. We'd all be as bored as usual if not for this.
  4. It's incredible they couldn't just back the idea that was already building up nicely all week and have gone off on a vainglorious mission the day before the game. As long as people generally leave half way through the second half, it'll be alreet.
  5. Not seen that happen anywhere. Hope those leaving don't have a go at anyone staying either. People that want to stay are perfectly entitled. I will be next season unless there's other games targeted. Which is unlikely.
  6. John Anderson annoyed me so much I wrote a long diatribe of 10 reasons I hate Ashley. I then finished it with a show of support for the walkout. http://nufc-ashlies.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/ten-football-reasons-we-hate-mike.html Please tweet, re-tweet, share, +1 etc.
  7. I took all his post match interviews from . com and put them in wordle. Wasn't half as good as the leazesmag one.
  8. There will be a shit load of people looking for others to do it first. It will need hundreds/thousands to make the move themselves for others to follow. Basically everyone that's considering it. I would hope the people that go stay downstairs and watch the game on telly. If they're singing and making a racket others may bed inclined to join them.
  9. https://twitter.com/search?f=realtime&q=%2360minwalkout&src=tyah Thoughts?
  10. It's a laugh. I'm sure Newcastle fans did it for agent Bruce and that. EDIT: Or do you mean opening a poll in the first place? Aye, that's pointless.
  11. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/10-facts-newcastle-united-should-7053420 What kind of a "fact" is 6?
  12. If you have cancer you stop smoking. You'll still have cancer but at least you're doing something. You don't keep smoking until the cancer is cured.
  13. Who'd have thought expectations match previous performance.
  14. That's been our average spend every season since he bought us. I'm expecting at least some of the extra TV money to be added to what we normally spend. He's going to do a little to encourage back some of those supporters that haven't renewed.
  15. We can buy 3 very good players for that. We don't buy 28 year old players that have shown they can cut the mustard in the Premier league.
  16. Since January I have had the view that Ashley would see spending then as throwing money away, but spending in the summer as much, much more beneficial. For that reason, despite despising both Ashley and Pardew, I am confident we will spend as much as Ashley ever has (£20 to £25m). I won'ty be too excited as long as Pardew is working with those players though. No doubt it would give the team a boost and sell a few more tickets initially, but we will have reverted to type by Halloween.
  17. There might be some value in a bet if we score first. Pardew's Newcastle fail to take 3 points from one third of games in which they score first (21/67)
  18. Demob happy. Final day of 3 weeks 24/7 on call.
  19. A history of the world in 100 objects was another class podcast series from the BBC. Well worth a listen. http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/ahow
  20. Think the Mag have suggested it would be some sort of ownership, but it wouldn't... I always thought he bought Newcastle rather than throw away £100m+ on a 5 year deal with any other bigger Premier League club.
  21. In every single season as Newcastle manager, Pardew has gone on a run of games that lasted at least ONE THIRD of the season where his win ratio was between 14% and 29% 10/11 - 14 games 2 wins (14%) 11/12 - 17 games 5 wins (29% ) 12/13 - 14 games 2 wins (14%) 13/14 - 17 games 4 wins (23%)
  22. Alan Pardew has managed #NUFC for seven derbies. Chris Hughton for one. Both have scored 5 goals against #SAFC
