  1. Thinking GNR next year, so keen to get up to 20k+ I'll go with the 10% rule cheers.
  2. Trying to approximate teams from the last 11 to go (or be told to go) and the last 11 to arrive. Ignoring Pardew's issues, which would you prefer to manage?
  3. What do people do after the couch to 5k? I'm on to week 7 and running 25 minute blocks uninterrupted now. I'll be up to 30 minutes in a fortnight and that's the end of the plan. Is it best to increase distance or frequency? I Could go back to week four or five and do each one twice in a row so it's an hour run 3 nights a week, or just keep doing the half hour runs but add nights. Don't really fancy running every night like. Mon, Wed and Fri with weekends off seems to work well without putting me off.
  4. Has Fish done a Spotify playlist of everything mentioned in this thread. I want to impress the other dads at my next playdate

    Gejon.

Not very TT, you're supposed to slag off the collar and stripe width Thanks Cath, looks lush.
  6. Aye, or their flight of fancy that took off from it... http://smodcast.com/episodes/the-walrus-and-the-carpenter/
  7. Aye. It's disingenuous of him to now complain about having had no options last season, when at that time he was dedicating wins to Mike Ashley. He just says what he thinks sounds good at the time without considering how daft it makes him look long term.
  8. And Glenn Greenwald... https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2014/08/04/cash-weapons-surveillance/ Few American politicians can survive if they express the truth of Israel's belligerence which is reflected in the secret documents of their spy agency (and few British with any stock in the 'partnership'). This in turn informs the scope of discussion across the media where the furthest anyone outside of Democracy Now, The Guardian or Ch 4 will go is to say both sides are as bad as each other. It's a lie.
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60EUG-CDC_k Can't imagine how people that haven't been listeners to Smith's podcast will take it, but for those that do, it looks genius. After watching Copout last week it's reassuring to see him following his own muse with this following Red State, and "Moose Jaws" to come
  10. Mentioned this in the Schalke thread, but my overview of the diminishing returns Pardew has offered over 3+ years is on the front page of the forum right now. http://www.toontastic.net/2014/08/what-is-alan-pardews-footballing-vision/
  11. You sound like an England fan trying to temain positive for the world cup in May. When you're shite you're shite and Pardew's shite.
  12. This is the first top tier opponent we've faced in pre-season. In terms of indicators for the season coming this game has been the closest challenge yet. I don't place much stock in any friendly. But Pardew has sat himself on top of a powder keg with performances last year and fans are not going to be forgiving of similar performances under any circumstances. Reaction to this defeat has been muted compared to what you'll see if the form continue into competitive games. Ship goals in the league and the keg will blow.
  13. Why does gun control become a hot topic after a highschool massacre?
  14. The last 20 competitive games have something to do with mood as well like.
  15. Every 20 minutes Stevie will forget he's moved to iSouth Shields and be horrified to find himself there. Sounds like it's better news than you were hoping for. Glad it's looking more positive and fingers crossed for the op.
  16. Aye... http://nufc-ashlies.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/what-is-alan-pardews-footballing-vision.html
  17. Refs should use vanishing foam on keepers at pens then.
  18. Stevie left at half time when it was 4 nowt man. He's prone to petulance
  19. No booking fees for members.. Exclusive access to tickets to all home fixtures first. A 5% discount and no booking fee when purchasing home tickets (turns out to be 22%) Access to away tickets - only members can purchase tickets for away fixtures. 25% discount on stadium tours. 10% off in Official Club Stores when you spend over £25 of full price items. 10% discount off drinks and 15% off food at NINE Bar on non-matchdays. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Members/BandWMembers
  20. NUFC ticketing is an utter shambles The membership benefits says "5% discount". That's closer to 30% Ignore everything I said
  21. Nope. But I benefit from family enclosure rates which ARE cheap as chips and the only area not getting mugged
  22. That one game won't make all the difference. They would charge less for Burnley by the same token.
