Or it tells you he hasn't been asked to play the holding role at Sunderland and Pardew would be asking him to do something alien to him. Not like Pardew

Paypal me £30 to make it worth my while and I'll get right onto it. Simple enough to DIY. 14 Wikipedia page visits. -
Cabaye was sold in 13/14. The net transfer profit in that accounting period was £17.3m. That money went to Ashley who stated in the accounts that he had postponed a re-payment of loans for £18m in 12/13. in 14/15 the net spend has been £25.8m There's still time yet for Tiote, Ben Arfa, Krul etc to defray some of that though

No, he said if we get that it will be good and we're dreaming of higher. 49 points last year was shocking considering we had 37 points with 15 games to go.
-
Thinking of Pardew checking wikipedia for the minimum standard he needs to set reminds me of the fans forum where the club did "research" to prove some point or other. What was that about again? EDIT: Oh aye, it was that teams going far in the cup get relegated. Divvies.
-
Dreaming of more than 48 points. He's setting expectation at the same level as the last 10 years. That's as good as saying we're aiming to stagnate.
-
After he said we should be knocking on the door of the champions league. He's bipolar man.

"I believe he’s got a daughter as well, what’s she feeling like this morning?" Proper Bernard Manning on Brasseye there

Whey the Wonga deal saw the commercial income bumped up so it would be a strange coincidence if after the drop in income we saw from relegation we then saw two subsequent unexplained drops that lined up perfectly with the 2 kit deals signed in that period.
-
No-one on here, Twitter or NO has explained to me how the new kit deals have had so little effect on commercial income. You can see on that chart, the Wonga deal starts and our income increases £3m. How can it go down in the year you start a new kit deal as a team in Europe? I was joking about SD seeing the benefit rather than NUFC, but I'm struggling to come up with any other logical reason.
-
Like the previous extension and the original Puma deal, no details available anywhere. We'll just have to wait and see if commercial income takes a big leap towards recovery next season when the accounts come out for that year in March 2016. I doubt it.

You can tell a lot about a place from who eats there, and a lot about the clientele from where they eat. I've seen Sammy Ameobi and Nile Ranger at Nando's I've seen Ben Arfa at Lau's 2 all you can eat buffet.
-
That's what I thought. It's got me bamboozled. The cynic in me is thinking that rather than paying Newcastle for any strip deal, PUMA are giving Sports Direct a good deal on stock.
-
In 12/13 we started a new extension with Puma. We were in Europe having finished 5th the season before. Yet our commercial income dropped £2m. Was the Virgin deal that much less than Northern Rock?
-
The Arsenal Puma deal announced in January was £150m for 5 years. Wonder if we're close to that amount for double the length.

It's pretty close to a sellout. Only singles available in most places except the back corners of the Gallowgate and Leazes and the posh seats. Stevie's example wasn't publicised enough for others to follow. He should have mentioned it more. Remarkable support for a team that lost 14 from their last 20 competitive games though.

They're being shafted if all other clubs and all their international colleagues get taken care of with free tickets from their clubs. Look at Toure crying about his birthday cake when top players at other clubs get a free Bugatti. You're supposed to induce players to want to come/stay, not piss them off with petty small change demands. Can just see Carver on the training pitch whipping out his card scanner after the 5-a-sides and asking who wants to buy tickets.
-
Because they do at every other club and always have done. That doesn't make it right, players and staff earn much more than they did in the past, they shouldn't need these perks now, but it's the way it is. Ashley likes to ruffle feathers and be seen as someone who changes the landscape of whichever industry he's working in though. He'll think no club will provide a player for interview without being paid and no family will get a free ticket in 10 years. He might be right, but at the moment it's Newcastle staff getting shafted on the eve of the new season. I think a few free tickets in a half empty stadium is a small price to pay for good staff morale.

On the one hand CT wants us to believe press conferences are valueless. On the other hand he wants us to believe they're so important that Ashley has stumbled onto a major revenue stream in selling the rights. He normally takes a few months before doing his 180s. Encapsulating both views at the same time shows his evolution in the field of wummery.

Apologies. He was good in an episode of Louis once.
