Average age of all 3 current #nufc centre backs is 30 (Taylor 28, Williamson 30, Colccini 32). All 3 will be out of contract at the end of next season, with an average age of 32. So, we'll be raped for pace all season and need to buy 4 CBs next summer.

Is this how you convince your lass to stay with you?

Bollocks If it's another shit manager they can get stick too. The Cardiff game was the proudest moment I've had watching Newcastle in 5 years. The support for the team was as incredible as the bile for the manager/owmner and we romped to a 3 nil win. It was spine tingling stuff from the stands.

I'd hope a lot of the same people are still about, maybe not as daft, but still as passionate. Those people were dispersed and silenced by the introduction of all seating during a prosperous time at the club. As season tickets are less subscribed, matchday singles are more readily available (and cheaper) and anger is strong, it would seem a perfect time for those people to start congregating again and making their voices heard.

@mcfaul I know you're refusing to give Ashley money. If you know plenty of others who've jacked it in though is it not something you'd enjoy doing if they all joined you? Sitting with a big group of like minded haters that don't shut up about what a prick Ashley is?
-
There's plenty of seats available in the back of the Gallowgate for games these says. I'd love to see more people that jacked season tickets buying singles there and generating some anti Pardew/Ashley noise along with the strawberry corner.

It's always up for sale. There doesn't have to be an ebay listing for anyone looking to buy a PL club to make enquiries. True dat. There's also the google searches for "sports Direct" since Ashley bought the club.... Why give up that publicity? No idea. Think repayment for most comes when they sell a club on a bigger tv deal than one they bought. Exactly why he's keeping money in the war chest for January. Showed in 2013 he'll spend to avoid going down.
-
Yeah. Edited my post above. He's taking at least £18m out in the 13/14 accounts and the club will still turn a sizeable profit. Anyone who wants rid of Ashley should be somewhat pleased about dwindling debt and persistent profits. Makes the club a much more attractive prospect to buyers.
-
I think the chest was the £26m we spent. Cabaye money was in last years accounts. EDIT: and the last set of accounts said Ashley would be paying off £18m of debt in the next financial year. So Cabaye's sale basically did that.
-
£7m spent on 2 players who can't play for us. Even if you spent half of that on Rickie fucking Lambert. Batshit crazy.
-
Aye, but he's not going to spend his money on the club. He's got no attachment to the club. Everyone here hates him. So it's got to run as a business, supporting itself. We're a club with £129m of debt. One of the highest debts in the league. We don't need more debt. I slate him for doubling the debt, would be daft to slate him for not throwing more money in too. Man U fans have hated the Glazers for increasing their debt even as it won them league titles. 95% of fans hate their owners. Everthing Ashley is doing is very slow progress on the financial side. We could afford to spend in January, saved it for Summer cos we weren't getting relegated. Could afford more this summer, but saved it for winter in case we're in trouble then. As fans it's frustrating as fuck because we know the potential. Main issue for me is not the over cautious investment. It's the completely misdirected investment and undeserved loyalty to a charlatan of a manager.
-
Ashley is showing improvement in terms of spending. Probably slower than the increase in income at the club, but progress. £25.8m net spend this window. Pardew has had £90m of new players handed to him since promotion. It's the complete lack of footballing knowledge that goes into the deals that's frustrating. 4 LBs, 3 CBs and no strikers worth the name. If you're going to spend them money at least do it where it's needed. More interested in a bargain unfortunately.

Club has more LB's than CB's
-
Our CB situation is worse than it was in the championship. Colo, Taylor and Williamson all 4 years older, slower and creakier.
-
In Ashley's time at the club transfer profit now stands at £8.9m Since the sale of Jose Enrique, the nadir of Ashley's profiteering, the club has a net spend of £37m (£10m a year) and a gross spend of £79.8m (£20m a year).

Given the pedigree Mbiwa had on arrival I wouldn't count on that like. A couple of mistakes early on and rock steady Stevie Taylor will usurp him.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Ryder has stuck the boot in today. Rare piece that is spot on from start to finish. Only because it's blatantly obvious to everyone like.- 10610 replies

Roma only paying 20% of his wage. Seems a total waste to me.

He had joy he had fun he had seasons in the sun But the beer and the song like his ticket have all gone

Why bother? You agree. You went daft on the drink after an op which should have kept you off the drink. You're knocking it on the head. Lesson learned. Everyone wishes you luck with your recovery while you stick to that. The rest of its just a flame war.

Palace 7/2 for a clean sheet. I'll have that for insurance purposes like.

Replacing £175k/week sub Torres with £90k/week sub Remy. Not exactly big boots to fill.

He says Cisse will be like a new signing with the new players around him. So he reckons Remy and Cabaye were shite.- 10610 replies
