  1. Sufjan hasn't grabbed me. The new Lightning Bolt on the other hand, champion.
  2. Incredibly negative outlook. Carver's been shite, but the only team he's lost to outside of the top 6 is Everton. I wouldn't be shocked if we took 10 points from those last 5 games.
  3. We've lost one home game to opponents outside the top 6 and one away game to bottom half opponents. Plenty points to gain there.
  4. I've never seen a taken film, safe to say they're all complete shit though.
  5. With my betting history it's a sure fire way of getting nufc some points today.
  6. Not at all. Should have absorbed it along with his other costs for fucking up. But we've known he's doing it for 4 years. Few other clubs would have the luxury of getting it interest free, let alone writing it off.
  7. The club hasn't paid back any inherited debt. Its paid back relegation debt. We've always known that was a bill that was being called in as soon as it could be afforded. After paying bills the club spends what's left on signing players though. That's why I've been waiting for these accounts for 3 years. Moment of truth as to whether debt repayments stop now relegation is paid for.
  8. Because that disregards the £53m of losses between 2008 and 2010 and only takes a view from when we were profitable. It disregards £29m of debt repayments. We don't spend everything we have as soon as we have it and we have other bills to pay, but money isn't siphoned out of the club. What is left is there to spend in summer and we've grown summer spending almost every year.
  9. The lack of ambition has come in not buying proven quality but gambling on potential which leaves gaps. Like I said in my twat list. It's where the money has been spent, not the amount. £25m on De Jong, Riviere and Cabella for little return, could have got lukaku. Easy in hindsight like. But the profits posted previously have been spent, as will the profits posted in future.
  10. Bodes well for the summer then doesn't it. The fact we spent the Cabaye and Debuchy money is what I'm saying. And others are saying we don't do that. I expect us to invest a good wedge of last seasons profits in the summer. Almost everything the club has done previously suggests it too.
  11. We spent more than any season previously, and without the dip in 2014, we're growing our spending year on year every year... Since...The Championship
  12. One of us is looking at different periods. In Summer 12/13 we got £5.5m for Best and Foster and we spent £8m on Anita, Good and Bigirimana In January we got £7m for Ba but spent almost £18m on Debuchy, Mbiwa, Gouffran, Haidara and Sissoko. A £13m net spend for the season. http://www.nufc.com/2014-15html/transfers-pardew.html But in 13/14 we basically sold Cabaye and that was it. Looking at periods in isolation you can paint a picture of player trading being massively profitable, but in the summer just gone, Ashley's total cumulative player trading after 8 years showed just over £3m profit. His criteria is clearly that the club can spend what it earns. Just not necessarily as soon as it's in the coffers.
  13. On average he's sold £21m worth of players a season and reinvested over £19m of it. Spending 91p of every pound isn't all that bad. If you aren't spending it until you have it then it's about the best you can hope for.
  14. The club spends what it can afford on it without going into hock.
  15. Had a tenner on Arsenal to win the league today. If they can beat Chelsea at the emirates it could be close run. More hope than expectation though. You can get 25-1
  16. Thinks what make Ashley a twat Free SD Advertising Dodgy deal with Puma Transferring the clubs retail income to SD Stadium renaming Sacking Keegan Appointing shit managers Appointing a shit coaching staff Aversion to the cups Signing players cos they're a bargain rather than what we need Selling players for a quick return oblivious to gaps in the squad Constant lies Things what don't make him a twat Transfer Spending His interest free loan There are a lot of fans who want to beat him up for those 2 things, which is odd when there's so much else to bash him for.
  17. Heard that one when it came out, Killer last line.
  18. Haven't got past the first track yet, but there's a Roots and a Public Enemy callback in the first minute so I think I might like it.
  19. Top work Rob Love this album. Maybe my fave of 2015 so far. It's not a groundbreaking album by any means, but if anyone likes old NASA clips, funky dance and atmospheric soundracks get at it.
  20. My 9 hour James Brown Playlist The HBO doc 'Mr Dynamite' is available on the iPlayer for another couple of weeks. Highly recommended http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b054v64w/james-brown-mr-dynamite
  21. Date published at companieshouse.gov.uk 11/03/2014 GROUP OF COMPANIES' ACCOUNTS MADE UP TO 30/06/13 08/04/2013 GROUP OF COMPANIES' ACCOUNTS MADE UP TO 30/06/12 13/03/2012 GROUP OF COMPANIES' ACCOUNTS MADE UP TO 30/06/11 01/04/2011 GROUP OF COMPANIES' ACCOUNTS MADE UP TO 30/06/10 ..so still a few weeks until we're past all the last few dates, but aye, they're normally announced to the press by now. My guess is the club are understaffed due to cost cutting so the filing has been sat in a "to do" pile somewhere for ages
  22. In terms of earned money leaving the club, there's little to criticise Ashley for. He made the £29m loan to subsidise relegation repayable within 1 year when he could have added it to the interest free £111m already in place. He didn't demand it within a year though and kept rolling it over until the club could afford it. This left the club £30m short on what it could have spent on the pitch these past 4 years, which has been a pain, but he's a businessman not looking to spend his own money, like the Glazers and Shepherd and that. He's not having fun and trying to build a dynasty like Mansour or Abramovic.
