1. I'd have thought those with a vested interest in Toontastic would be trying to keep interested anyone joining in the wake of NOL's implosion, rather than alienating them. Then again, I suppose visitors here come for the craic and stay for the abuse. Sado's tbh.

"Here come Jossy's Giants, Footballs just a game of science" How did it go then?

I thought it was champion. Can't imagine anyone who doesn't like football enjoying it, or even anyone who doesn't like Newcastle. But it's a tip-top film for a Geordie to enjoy. Seeing the area, nice aerial shots of the toon and stadium, with a bit of kasabian blaring out. Gets the hairs on your neck stood up. It's made all the more poignant when compared to Zoggy's story.
4. We can only pray it doesn't include a Flea trumpet solo.
5. Jason Mraz - Mr A-Z - Not really my bag like so it'll be getting deleted. Arctic Monkeys - I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor - Don't really rate the album, but it's a great song and i'm trying to work out the guitar. Only got the fill on 1:05 to sort, so if anyone can help...
6. I don't know why I bother... http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...717entry92717
7. So good I'm listening to it again again. Patton is the bloke out of Faith No More and Mr Bungle, but it seems to me all the best bits of the album come from the X-Ecutioners. The samples/inspirations mightn't be all that origional (Kung Fu, 2001, Dirty Harry, Deliverance and bad porn for example) but the whole thing is scratcherrifically good.
8. Blatantly filling his pants tbh Must have heard all the media stuff about us being a great cup team. 97884 Apparently we're the only team other than Arsenal to have beaten Chelsea in the cup in the last 7 years. 97890 We won it three times in the fifties an all. 97894 I don't get your point. We didn't beat Chelsea in any of those years did we? My point was that a Chelsea fan might see us (somewhat legitimately) as a bit of a bogey team. 97901 Our record attendance is against Chelsea too. They must be shitting themselves tbh. 97902 Really? Ho hoooo, wa going to trounce them!

11. Even if it wasn't his fault it's a class picture. It's like he's using the poor cow as a hoover.
12. It's the worst possible draw though isn't it? 97866 Well I'm sorry for trying to lighten the mood. Mr Glass half empty. You've all taken a left turn to negativeland. We're still in it man.
13. It's bad but not totally shit. If we got them in the final they'd play a full strength team. Chances are they'll rest players now we've got them in an earlier round. And Owen will be back by then. Tell me ma, me ma I won't be home for tea, I'm going to cockernee tell me ma me ma.
14. Was it Marseilles where he launched himself through the air two footed into a poor sods chest? That was great Nowt wrong with a strong challenge. It's the puffs that stay down off them need to look at their life and sort out their priorities.
15. Anyone else would have been banned tbh. Cliquetastic
16. Despite the snipers best efforts, it's still going... it's a sticky just under this one. I'm for you!
17. Anyone watching the BAFTAs? I don't want to spoil the ending but all the winners are here... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4730718.stm Most disappointed that Kung Fu Hustle didn't get best foreign film. I've hardly seen anything else nominated in any category like
18. The League of Gentlemen Apocalypse - The first 2 series of LOG were brilliant. The christmas special was shit and the third series was bad, but not as bad as peolpe make out. The film IS that bad. It's a clever format (or 'scenario' for you pedants, but definately not a 'genre') and it has some funny moments, but nothing laugh out loud funny at all. The most damning indictment comes from the league themselves, with constant references to the one dimensional nature of Herr Lipp and the paucity of bad puns that have kept him from being funny since he buried Justin. The Assassination of Richard Nixon - Sean Penn is as good as he's ever been as Samuel Bicke, a real life character whose life has been fictionalised into an amalgam of Rupert Pupkin, Travis Bickle and William Foster. Apart from characterisation, a whole lot more is taken from The King of Comedy, Taxi Driver and Falling Down so I'd expect to be telling people to watch those instead, but the fact is TAORN leaves you feeling as uneasy as any of those and as sympathetic to the madman. So I recommend it to anyone who has seen and enjoyed the other three, anyone else should get those first though.
19. Is he not suggesting money has been piled on Hitzfeld and that there's now a concerted effort to get him in so they get payed out? ...and Hoddle was just a typo on F365. 97287 TBH I dont have a great idea how these things work, but if money was being piled on the the market for Hizfeld, betting would be suspended and often the bookies would come out with the reasons why ie. Scolari got a five grand bet off some bloke in Scotland and Coleman got backed from Cardiff and then soon after in London. Hitzfelds odds have never dropped as sharply which suggests a steady stream of smaller bets but no high bets being built and no Syndicate betting. As for Hoddle... http://www.wolves.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=9556 97299 TBH I agree. But Shepherd's a barnpot so he spouts unmitigated drivell. As for Hoddle, fair enough. Though I think they're giving themselves too much credit. He was never favourite and the 'rumour' was generally laughed off. I thought it left Wolves looking more of a joke than us because they're stuck with the zealot.
