  1. You can't sit back and wait for other people to implement your ideas mate. If it needs work before it can be done, let's make it happen. I'll support anyone opposing Ashley, so anything i can do to help you go to a Sunderland game in a Newcastle strip, just say the word.
  2. I think you should set it up for the first game of next season. If you commit to doing it yourself everyone that agrees with you will soon follow. I've got a few thousand followers so I'll tweet your plan to them if you want to publicise your intentions as well.
  3. Protest Mike Ashley by going to Sunderland games. .. In full nufc kit [emoji38] [emoji38]
  4. Not sure it's an appointment worthy of a third season ticket deadline date and begging letter.
  5. Love the idea of conscientious objectors from the war telling their grandkids they did more than people who fought because they told everyone else what they were doing wrong.
  6. Keegan wasn't above banning someone too. Think Ashley takes it to another level though, being indiscriminate and for profit.
  7. I distributed posters for boycottspurs for a start. Is that more than fuck all?
  8. I was full of praise for the club on Tuesday. McClaren is a better appointment than the last 5. Carver and Stone being hoyed out showed a willingness to pay the price to get things right. Letting McClaren bring in his own men is spot on. The players let go so far shouldn't truthfully be getting on our bench if we have any ambition. Fans assuming we won't bring the right quantity of players seem to forget that just 12 months ago we signed 7 players and sold just one. So I'm confident of summer spending. I went so far as to say that the club have got everything right (except not replacing Carver sooner - but benefit of the doubt if they were waiting on McClaren) since the boycotts and protests started, whether coincidentally or not. The hierarchy are incapable of generating an ongoing feelgood atmosphere around the club though. Completely shot themselves in the foot only inviting Sky and The Mirror to talk to the new man. Instantly sours the majority of the media against the club. Not an insurmountable issue though. The problem last year was although 7 players came in their average cost was only £5m and we got nothing from 4 of them. Quantity, not quality. We need at least 3 £10m+ signings to bring some quality from front to back. I think Ashley is on record as saying he won't spend top dollar though, so we're likely to see more muddling through with what we can get on the cheap. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise, but still can't see it.
  9. Just seen it. Gutted I missed the deadline. Could have printed of Ryder's diary entries and left them on his desk.
  10. Pardew told us we can't expect to compete with Southampton though. Pipe dream to think otherwise.
  11. Think the message is "what more can you do?" Think 90% are doing what they think is enough. Whether they have a season ticket but don't buy a pie, pint or strip or don't go to games at all. With that in mind it's difficult for a small scope campaign to change behaviour. It targets one group doing not enough, rather than all fans that could do more. Point is to ask ALL fans where they can put more pressure on. So someone like you that doesn't bother with any of it could take further action rather than sitting in an ivory tower telling other fans what they're doing wrong
  12. The hope is that those advertisers turn on Ashley and stop associating with the club due to any negative publicity rather than there being much of a noticeable monetary impact. No one that supports Israel expects their boycott of m and s to bring down the nuclear power. It's just publicity generating, awareness pushing action. Which is better than nowt.
  13. You still can wear converse. Just don't buy new ones
  14. In case anyone thinks that they don't go to games so this doesn't include them, the embargo covers all ashley outlets and any nufc "commercial partners". 16. We had to Google it in the pub on Friday night as one out of five had seen a story on the squad but no-one had any idea who we were playing when. Everyone knew the women were playing in the world cup like.
  17. If not for one win against Hull last season we'd be in the championship now. Slow and steady. No risks. Cheb
  18. Not laughing at the typos by the way Mary Mary
  19. Saw him in the new crown last night. Looks like he's lost weight. Still fat like. Still Mackem as well.
