Everyone has mates in the game who will biig them up.... Your eagerness to take their word for it rather than base an opinion on evidence is questionable. I'm asking about achievements that show they should walk into jobs at one of the biggest clubs in the country. I've praised McClaren and am reasonably content with his appointment. It's the response to the rest of the backroom I find strangely ebullient McClaren IS a PR staffer. That's the point. Thge forum demanded Ashley come along and they're sucking each others dicks because McClaren popped in. I've no doubt McClaren is genuine, eager and capable. He's been far more willing to hold his hands up and walk out on jobs where he wasn't able to take the club forward, unlike Pardew. I fear with Ashley's propensity to lead his managers along it won't be a marriage made in heaven.

I agree with your opinion to that extent. Clearly they do. I don't see why most people feel that way though, which is why I asked on Twitter what exactly people saw as the improvement. As someone that is part of "most people" I thought you could explain why they're better to someone who remains to be convinced and and cannot see in their past record what sets them apart going forward. "Anything is better than Carver/Stone" is all well and good, but it doesn't fill me with optimism particularly.

The same day mcclaren demanded the board should not allow anyone to go unless we've signed replacements. The board he's the second most powerful member of. Apparently.

Suppose that means you have to use Apple TV to steam through a TV rather than plex or play or vlc or any of the other software not locked into devices which let you use chromecast or Amazon fire etc. Also means you lose your entire collection if they go the same way as MySpace?

Look forward to testing it out in the fall. I don't like paying a subscription though. Maybe old fashioned and only 3 pints a month but paying £120 a year and not physically owning any music I've bought still doesn't sit right with me. Do iTunes still protect downloads or are they transferable?

I asked on Twitter why everyone was so happy with them, what their major achievements were. The responses were unanimous that their best feature was only that they were not Carver or Stone. Hardly bodes well and suggests more of a "lets wait and see" point of view, rather than a "BIG" improvement.

Taken me a while to listen to the album. Lush ELO/Beatlesy finale though. Had it on 5 times in a row now.

Itunes still has the best looking front end, detailed tagging and smartest playlist generator. I use that on my home PC for organising my collection. I use plex for accessing my entire music collection and all my Itunes playlists over the cloud (phone & work PC) I use spotify (free) for new albums, creating playlists as reminders of what I like or not for obtaining. I use Google Play Music to transfer albums I like from the current year or so to my phone for offline listening. I use Player FM for podcasts which has a web based front end and allows sync between my phone, tablet, home and work PC.
