I watched the first ten or so episodes last year and thought it was canny, but nowt special. Having returned to watch the rest, I'm now loving it. Currently 5 episodes into series 2 and getting through them fast. Absoloutley brilliant. Tobias' blue man camoflage and cat like reflexes, Lucilles astonishment at the private detectives appearances and everyones head bowed glumness have had me pissing myself.

Everyone uses a lot I think. I'd also like to know, what do people use if they've run out? Yellow Pages? Newpaper? An old sock? A dish cloth? The toilet brush? A full shower?

I was beginning to think the same TBH No one wanted him dead but the reaction on here is a bit OTT shirley?? Not even Royal either 192505 You cried at Diana's death if we're talking about overreactions 192508 but she affected my life, she had style, and grace - this Steve guy was another Oztralain halfwit who attacked crocodiles FFS 192526 Out of the two most famous babies life jeopardising drongos I far preferred Irwins croc baiting to Jacksons balcony juggling. It just had a bit more pazazz about it, he included animals AND children when common consensus says you should always avoid both. He truly was the king of needlesly exposing yourself and others to danger and talking like Alf Stewart.

September 4 should go in the Birthdays as an anniversary, lest we forget. In 5 years the conspiracy will come out about the stingray actually being a disgruntled crocodile in disguise who had one too many and caused the accident then hung around to take 'snaps'. Pun intended

Murder ball was class. Except when Carter the loon played. He didn't care if the ball got you or not. He'd just fly at you and kick the shit out of you if the ball went anywhere near you. He also liked to sniff peas and make them come out of his mouth.

GET CARTER Canny. Already seen all the best bits, and there's not really much more to it than the set pieces and some very strange graffitti. HOOP DREAMS Excellent documentary that follows two extremely talented 14 year old inner city kids (William and Arthur) to see if they can make it to the NBA. Against a backdrop of poverty, drugs, teenage pregnancy, gun crime and abuse the kids and their mothers come accross better than anyone else around them. They both get sent to a private school on partial scholarships, but where William has a sponsor to cover the rest of the costs, Arthur has to leave as his parents debts mount and they can't keep up payments. If the coach thought Arthur had the talent then the costs would not be a factor, but lack of development means it's not difficult to drop him. What happens over the next 3 or 4 yrears is surprising, inspirational and emotional. The film was on more top ten lists in '94 than Pulp Fiction, was Roger Ebert's film of the 90's and inspired a change in how the Oscars are voted for when outrage that it didn't win Best Oscar was so strong. Highly recommended. -
They were on E4 a while ago I think. Has anyone seen the Ali G film? I used to think he was a brilliant creation on a par with Chris Morris for exposing celebrity/politician stupidity but he's got progressively worse since he got more than 3 minutes on that otherwise shite Ch4 show that had Ricky Gervais on too. The film was the zenith of his awfulness. The only time I've seen Borat come close to Ali G's original brilliance was when he spent the weekend with some rednecks who joined in his jew hating sing-song. Absoloute genius that was.

Aye, quality. Really like Spike Lee and he seems to have come of age with stuff like this and '25th Hour'. 192159 Lee's When The Levees Broke is currently showing in the US. It's a four part documentary about Katrina, the resulting floods and the government response. I thought it was going to be as paranoid as JFK and am not convinced by the conspiracy theories he's been spouting, but it's had rave reviews. Meant to be superb. For Example.... More -
I think it's a very rare way to die. 192120 Well you know it is in general. But in this context id say its cliche'd. [\Digs hole] 192135 I think I know what you mean now, i.e. he died dealing with animals. Not sure I'd call it cliched though 192142 It's sooooooo Timothy Treadwell.
