  1. As much as I hate to join any debate CT is involved in, and he whacked in the obligatory safety wink, I saw this the other day and wanted to provide responses.
  2. With good reason, given the lizard overlord talk. He did more harm associating his mad headed views to the more serious rumours because it all gets dismissed as conspiratorial loopiness, when some claims he jumped on should have been taken more seriously than others he tarred with the same brush.
  3. Might have had something to do with showbox going tits up too like. I pretended I didn't know where to download it from, so we couldn't keep watching the horseshit. Mad pussy whipped
  4. Managed to convince the wife that Blacklist was shite after 13 episodes. Switched to House of Cards. That's more like it.
  5. I didn't know what they looked like. Loved them for years, 3 albums in a row, but never seen them live and their album art has no pics. Just looked and they are proper collection of dweebs and weirdos like. Like a rustic Hot Chip. They sound much more nails. Champion, glad it's hit the spot.
  6. He was £8m rising to £12m If anything he's done triggered the £4m extra payment then it was a worse deal than anyone could have thought imaginable. Wonder if there was a sell on clause
  7. The new Titus Andronicus is highly recommended. I love More Perfect Union (not to be mistaken with A More Perfect union off their last one... which was also top class).
  8. That and English being the world language. Easier to exist/work in a country where you already speak some of the lingo.
  9. Ticket availability looks the same for Southampton as it did for STs a month ago.
  10. Cheers. Will give it a go while the wife is on the 30 day trial.
  11. One googles "Netflix DNS"
  12. Netflix is only any good if you use the US DNS, and even then it's very limited. Can you do that with Amazon Prime?
  13. So for £75 you get 12 months of next day delivery on all your amazon orders, streamable tv shows and films, streamable music to all your devices, books for your kindle and unlimited photo storage space. Would be amazing, if the selection wasn't complete shite for music and video.
  14. Because we don't spend in January unless relegation threatened. Being relegation threatened brought forward that seasons summer spend. Not a policy I agree with and one I've raised with the fans forum, only to get a shit answer from the club. Whenever the money is spent though, if the club has been profitable, there had been an annual budget over and above what is earned from sales.
  15. While I don't believe Ashley is as hands off as he claims, I don't think he could do much more than provide the funds for purchases like Mbiwa and Riviere. The failure to identify if they could cut it in this league or work for the manager in charge was only his in so much as he won't let the manager choose players. The fact we've spent tens of millions on defence and attack and that investment was completely wasted is the crime, not that we didn't put reasonably priced bodies in the squad for selection.
  16. I wasn't like. I've said for years the spending has been pretty much what the club could afford. And the problem isn't what the club can afford but Ashley's decisions otherwise.
  17. Think the albums before have great singles, but I skip a lot of tracks on them. American Idiot was the first (only) one I would play from start to finish from the day it came out. Also saw them tour that album where they played it from start to finish. Not many bands with a back catalogue like theirs can carry a whole tour off playing the new album from beginning to end. Might say more about the new generation of fans it brought them than the comparative quality of the albums before, but I'll gladly be counted among the noobs, even owning their whole back catalogue before American Idiot came out.
  18. New Chemical Brothers is champion, at least for those like me who take most of their electronic selection from above ground.
  19. http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/07/a-corner-turned-or-history-repeating-newcastle-united-transfer-spending/
  20. The Titus Andronicus album is up there with the Menzingers one too. Good new punk.
  21. That Menzingers album in my list should appeal if you like green day. Problem is that anyone emulating those bands now sound like poor imitations and not current on the whole, but there's a few good tracks on the recent offerings of drenge and Eagulls.
  22. I only use smart/auto playlists, so they always have hundreds of songs from albums I don't otherwise like. Just switched to musicbee though and used the 5 star album rating to come up with this one. What surprised me choosing the albums was no Beatles, no James Brown & no Jonny Cash. 3 of my favourite artists, but nothing springs out as albums I love from start to finish without skipping, not even Greatest Hits.
  23. Oh aye, far better than Blur or Oasis in that Britpop kerfuffle.
