"Naaaa na na na naaaaa, na na na naaaaa, na na naaa, na na naa, na na na naaaaaaa"

Really? I've not seen it, but no-one has ever compelled me to do so tbh.

http://money.uk.msn.com/Investing/Insight/...cumentid=144192 all seems quite reasonable.

Couldn't they give the $50K to a worthwhile charity instead of buying some kids a PS3 each?

and WTF is with the video response... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwXPXgyEJco...;watch_response

I knew George had no black friends, guess Kramer won't now either
-
He was quality in Adaptation too. ...and not bad in World Trade Centre. The man is a modern day De Niro tbh

Me too. I abhor him. Lord of War was like drills in my eyes and ears. He's better in this than anything I've seen him in though.

Did nobody watch Raising Arizona then? Must be the 8th or 9th time I've seen it and I thought I was going to have a hernia, it just gets funnier and funnier. "Me and Dot went in to adopt on account a' somethin' went wrong with my semen, and they said we had to wait five years for a healthy white baby. I said, "Healthy white baby? Five years? What else you got?" Said they got two Koreans and a negra born with his heart on the outside. It's a crazy world. "

$33m wasn't it? £18m is that?

As if you wouldn't have otherwise.

I just get the feeling I would be getting it just because it's him and not because it's something I want to hear. I know what you mean. I bought both volumes of Merry Axemas: A Guitar Christmas. It's not on particularly heavy rotation even at festive times.

B'ah humbug!

Any cop? Have been hovering over the "Add to cart" button the last couple of times I've been to Amazon. I'm not a huge fan of Tom Waits tbh. Every so often I fancy hearing someone with a grizzled voice, but I can never usually last a full album of his. No change with this one. Canny tunes but I got bored and turned it off after 4 or so. Sounded exactly the same as what I've heard from him before.

5 disc set for £10.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Songs-Christmas-Su...0230522-0543671 It's comprised of christmas themed E.P.'s he does every year.

Got that on my ipod to listen to later as well.

The Beatles - Love Rather dissappointing. Just another excuse to re-release the same old tosh (brilliant tosh though, obviously). I was hoping for drastic re-workings, but almost every song is basically the same as a previous incarnation (either the album or anthology version) but with an atmospheric intro or some found sounds layered on top, they might have altered the mix for 5.1 so that the bass on Lucy in the Sky is given centre stage rather than the keyboards, but is that really worth the bother? Occassionally they do mash something up, but it's basically a stars-on-45 style run of hits rather than an imaginative melding of the vocal from one track and the backing of another. What moments of surprise there are (there are a few, like slowing down Ringo's vocal for Octopus's Gareden and layering it over Good Night) are short-lived and quickly thrown away in preference of sticking to the original. It'll get a lot of listening time from me, because they're great songs and I couldn't say they've been devalued, just that if you want a beatles mash-up this can't really touch The Grey Album.

It's all about Germany these days. Requiem came out on Friday too and is supposed to be one of the best films in the revival. -
Not very fucking impressed. Spent half an hour of my life watching this film before pressing info and realising that far from the promised De Niro/Pacino classic I was watching a 1986 Burt Reynolds shit flick. I WANT THAT HALF HOUR OF MY LIFE BACK FACE! I WANT IT BACK!!!!! [/drunken rant] oops. Sorry. Still, Burt Reynolds is a god.

The Pusher Trilogy Hell of a way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I haven't had many drug problems, either in usage or deals, so I might be in no position to comment, but this trilogy kicked the shit out of Requiem For A Dream in my opinion. It doesn't moralise to the extend that RFAD did, doesn't insist than anybody so much as touching a drug will inevitably end up debasing themselves in the most heinous fashion. Rather, it makes a life of drugs (either using or dealing) look like the least appetising choice anyone could make without any sort of sensationalism, even the gruseome finale to part 3 is dealt with so matter of factly it brought to mind the horrible rape scene in Irreversible that I could hardly bare to watch. http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title...&P36=4HF3LB -
SUNDAY 19TH NOVEMBER BREWSTER'S MILLIONS 7.05pm Film4 Richard Pryor and John Candy classic. AI: ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE 7.45pm BBC3 Terrible disappointment when you think what Kubrick could have made of it, but some of it still looks lush. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING 8pm Channel 4 Whinge about the ending(s) all you want, there’s a great battle scene. HEAT 10pm ITV3 De Niro, Pacino and Mann. As good as the line-up suggests. MONDAY 20TH NOVEMBER RAISING ARIZONA 11.45pm BBC1 The Coen Brothers first GREAT film. Hilarious stuff. TUESDAY 21ST NOVEMBER ABOUT A BOY 8pm ITV2 Very average, but something to pass the time. PALE RIDER 10pm ITV4 Clint is the man. THEY LIVE 10pm Sci-Fi Rowdy Roddy Piper’s finest moment WEDNESDAY 22ND NOVEMBER STIR CRAZY 9pm fx Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder in the best film Sidney Poitier made. PLEASANTVILLE 11.35pm BBC1 Very touching and very gorgeous. THURSDAY 23RD NOVEMBER SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS 5.10pm Film4 Never seen it. Meant to be an all time classic though. SMALL TIME CROOKS 7.15pm Film4 A recent film from Woody Allen that actually manages to be funny, which is getting rare. ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN 9pm ITV4 Absoloutly superb story of the reporters that brought Nixon to book over Watergate. FRIDAY 23RD NOVEMBER ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 11pm Film4 Another one I haven’t seen but am led to believe is well worth it. BUFFALO '66 12.40am Film4 Before Brown Bunny Vincent Gallo made a film that people liked. I’ve seen neither, but I’ll be giving this a try if I’m not out.

Just today for now... SATURDAY 18TH NOVEMBER BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID 5.30pm five Not quite as superb as The Sting, but very much worth suffering the "Raindrops keep falling on my head" interlude for. BRAINDEAD 10.45pm Film4 Along with Bad Taste and Meet The Feebles, Peter Jackson's gloriously offensive first few films were all hilarious. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL 11pm BBC4 Or La Vita è bella, is a heartbreaking holocaust comedy (stick with me) about a man trying to hide the true horror of what's happening from his son by turning it into a game. Recommended above all else that's on tonight. DESPERADO 11.30pm Channel 4 Top fun. While everyone else is watching Life is Beautiful Brock should watch this. THE FRENCH CONNECTION 11.45pm The first and the best "gritty New-York cop film". PERFORMANCE 11.50pm BBC2 Never seen it, but I don’t think the DVD is available so Stones fans should catch it while you can. FALLING DOWN 12.40am fx "And now you're gonna die...wearing that stupid hat!" GEORGE AND MILDRED 3.35am Channel 4 It's not in the film, but I loved the bit in George and Mildred when she tells him she went to the beauty parlour and he says "Oh.....was it closed?"
