  5. Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love? I've not investigated your tastes much, but anyone not liking that track needs shooting.
  6. Your favourite artists are girls aloud and busted. Sorry but I don't watch SMTV now that Ant and Dec have left.
  7. There are bount to be people on here who have unfortunately had to watch relatives battle with cancer and i dont suppose they see it as a win win situation. I've watched quite a few relatives fight cancer, and some die from it. But then I wasn't discussing cancer as a win win situation, more the media coverage of victims.
  8. agreed. and anyone sitting behind a computer screen complaining that a 16year old cancer sufferer doesnt deserve a bravery award could reasonably be called an idiot tbh. Who's done that like?
  9. I suppose facing the facts is brave in itself, but I'd love to see the papers tear someone apart for being a pussy about it. for (made up) example... It was 4 months ago Morrissey was diagnosed with bowel cancer and the ageing miserablist hasn't shut up about it since, the nationalistic emigrant had initially stayed in for 2 months with close friends saying he wept constantly and when consoled stamped his feet in a fit of petulance. Recently though, he's found it within himself to integrate with society again, but those unfortunate enough to converse with him have quickly realised that if the topic is not his ongoing pain, they'll get short shrift. He'll receive a bravery award next week

  11. The blind fella in curb your enthusiasm. What a twat!
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/6215064.stm Nowt against this lass, good luck to her, I don't think I'd be smiling so wide in the face of death. But I've always wondered about the papers and that calling people 'brave' when they have cancer, no matter how they cope with it. Kylie has 'bravely' fought it and this lass has 'bravely' refused to fight it. It's a win win situation tbh, just get cancer and no matter how you cope you'll be made welcome at SJP. What does a cancer sufferer have to do to be called soft?
  13. I'm not sure I get the point being made here. Is there one? Why is Roeder bottom? Not really fair unless they play the same number of games. On a points per game basis.... Robson = 1.7 (64.6/season - UEFA cup) Roeder = 1.6 (60.8/season - Intertoto cup) Souness = 1.2 (45.6/season - avoid relegation) So Roeder's pushing Robson's performance but has had a much worse time with injuries over the length of his managership.
  14. better than "black bastard" I presume ?? Yes, but I'm reminded of My dad, for example, he's not as cosmopolitan or as educated as me and it can be embarrasing you know. He doesn't understand all the new trendy words - like he'll say "poofs" instead of "gays", "birds" instead of "women", "darkies" instead of "coloureds".
  15. atmosphere was canny ...once the booing stopped (pricks) and yes Milner was just inside the box. A big boo to the prick who belted a bottle off the head of the auld fella in front of me tho...am hoping it was not meant for the coloured kid sitting in front of him "coloured"? Is that term assetable in this day and age?
  16. The funniest thing about the Babayaro booing was that for a moment those of us who were disgusted by it started applauding when he got the ball. Totally unwarranted but had to make a point to these bell ends.
  17. The Adventures of Robin Hood - Was Claude Rains in every classic film made before 1950? Legend. Full Metal Jacket is on ITV4 at the moment as well.
  18. Los Angeles, CA - Motion Picture Association of America President and CEO Dan Glickman announced a bold new strategy to combat the "pernicious effects of piracy". After many failures to stop piracy by technological and litigious means, Hollywood will rely on psychological tactics to thwart would-be file-swappers by making only movies that suck. Using one-dimensional characters and predictable plots lines, movies will be so insulting to the intellect of the viewer that no one that can use a computer would bother to download them. The MPAA has already tested the method in releases such as Baby Geniuses 2, Son of the Mask, Alone in The Dark, and Coach Carter. In a focus group of computer-literate adults, test films were able to elicit such reactions as, "Oh God, why," "I want those two hours of my life back," and "I'll be skull-f*cked by imps before I ever sit through that horsesh*t again." "We are sending a clear message to pirates," said MPAA Chairman Dan Glickman, "One way or another; you will pay for your crime. Your punishment may come in the form of a lawsuit, or in the mind-numbing mediocrity of Gigli, but you will be punished. When asked how the changes would effect box office sales, Glickman responded, "We think the success of Hilary Duff has shown there is plenty of money in releasing movies that suck." Pressed specifically about the buying power of the intellectually underdeveloped market, Glickman countered, "Are you suggesting we have overestimated the idiocy of the public?" Glickman and Glickman then snickered uncontrollably. Hollywood will eventually only produce movies based on canceled TV series. For the near future, studios are rushing to raise the suck level in existing franchises. Ashton Kutcher will replace Toby McGuire as Peter Parker in Spider-man 3. The film rights to The Hobbit have been wrestled from Peter Jackson and given to George Lucas. In addition, Joel Schumacher will direct and star in all future films from Pixar Animation Studios.
  19. It was in Saturday's Times, following a piece on radio 4 by the author which was expanded on the BBC website.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/law_...ion/default.stm
  20. So do I sometimes (women drivers in particular) but I realise that if everyone could do that then anarchy would reign. So these courts can fuck off. Both the prosecuters and defendent have to agree with it tbf. It's only slightly more authoritative than Judge Judy.
  21. The vote only counts for the top ten. Would be canny if the gymnast won though.
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_rad...ear/6166600.stm Forget Tony McCoy, champion jockey for a decade, who surpassed 2500 wins this year.
