West Ham United v Newcastle United 14/9/15 20:00 KO (On Sky)
Happy Face replied to Haydnator's topic in Newcastle Forum
Other than Riviere I wouldn't write off anyone signed in the last 2 years. The problem has been we're still looking for bargains to accrue value rather than what the team needs. Mbemba and Janmaat filled an immediate need and have been just about ever present since arriving. But we fanny about buying a load of cheap attacking midfielders/wingers without giving ourselves any options in terms of quality to go ahead of them. Bench last night had 5 (five) of these sorts in Obertan, Gouffran, Aarons, Perez and De Jong in addition to Wijnaldum and Thauvin who started. None of those 7 (8 if you can include Sissoko) are ever going to be regular goalscorers and when Cisse is looking as shit as he is on his lonesome we're totally toothless. -

We finished 10th 16 months ago and your realistic target this season, having thrown £50m at that squad is 12th? I thought the 3 window plan was for winning trophies and (in mikes words) "I include champions league qualification in that" -

Swansea was just as shite as last night. And saying Everton are better is exactly what is disappointing. We're supposed to be aiming to finish above them. I don't think anyone's panicking really. There's no-one saying sack McClaren or owt daft, I think we all assume we'll put some wins together soon and the fact that the likes of Leicester, Bournemouth, Norwich and the Mackems have had some of the easiest starts makes people as relaxed as they were at the end of December that we aren't relegation candidates Still, after the big spending summer it's daft to imagine people won't be disappointed, no matter what the fixture computer threw up. Crystal Palace, Everton, West Brom and Watford have all had fixtures as tough as us really. They've managed to wring more points out of them than we have. It suggests the top half optimism needs to be tempered towards another lower mid-table write off of a season Ashley has consistently delivered, one relegation and one Euro qulification aside. -

Bournemouth and Leicester have both gone to West Ham and won. Watford and West Brom both took a point from Southampton at home. Watford and Sunderland took 4 points off Swansea between them. All well and good saying we had tough games but when our competitoirs have the same games they've walked away with as many or more points from them. -

Everton have had a harder first 5 than us. You don't just throw your hands in the air and accept being bottom. How do we expect to improve if we aren't expecting to take more than 1 point off West Ham, Southampton and Swansea? -
We did 1984. Boiled my piss I had to read about the bloke leading the greyest existence imaginable and other classes were doing Animal Farm which sounded a much more fun-filled affair.

A draw will do me. But a win would really hit the spot like. Been too many results that have gone as you'd expect and can't really mnoan about, but we need to start outperforming NUFC of 14/15 to a much greater extent soon. -
Probably, but I'm not Lewis Hamilton. I'd rather buy petrol once a fortnight than every two days. And the environmentalists can sort out electric cars before they have a pop.

He should have created a few more roles to get more women in there. Shadow Minister for making biscuits and watching Hollyoaks

Probably because Esso & BP and that love the extra pennies every time anyone goes over, must add up to a few million. I just fill it up every time personally.

All the funnier when you see a few months ago they were waxing lyrical about deficit reduction targets being hit....only thanks to bumper tax income... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11484690/Britains-budget-deficit-shrinks-on-bumper-tax-revenues.html

Toy Story 2 on a fucking loop. "How about Toy Story 3 son?" "No, don't like Monkey!" "Ok, Toy Story 1?" "Want Jesse!" "OK, for the 17th time this week" Ruining one of my favourite films the little shit.
