  1. When the two films are virtually identical and there's no apparent reason given for liking the first one and hating the second, the only thing I can presume is that the debut was out of nowhere by an unknown which meant nobody had any prejudice against it. Going into Snatch everyone knew more about Ritchie and couldn't forgive him treading the same ground as if all he knows is being a geezer, and that pissed them off. If that's daft, so fuck, because if no one can explain why they were so different class it's the only logical explanation I can come to.
  2. Agreed, I thought it was fucking terrible. The fight/Fuckin in the bushes bit is brilliant. I loved Snatch, what's wrong with it? Not that much. People just don't like Guy Ritchie because they think he's a mockney twat. Bollocks. People just don't like Snatch because it isn't any good. Well no one seems to have a reason why it was so much worse than Lock, stock other than just "because it was worse". Not convincing me.
  3. Just Joey. That's what they should have called the Friends spin-off series.

  16. That comment really applies to across the world atm tbqfh. I know you rate the rise of music being released via myspace, etc Ben but the death of the indie label releasing pressed, hard copies really has had a detriment to the whole rise of bands/musicans across the globe - imhbpo. I don't rate the rise of music due to myspace at all. myspace is one of the worst culprits. In North America, there is still an awful lot of the indie label releasing- Secretly Canadian, Jagjaguwar, Saddle Creek, Tomlab, Chairkickers, Subpop, Orange Twin- and a whole lot more, all of which have garnered considerable success. There are still plenty of interesting radio stations available that get listened to over there. Over here, Radio 1 bestrides the nation, and delivers nothing but the personalities of boring people with boring lives talking about how not very funny their flatmates are. The music it plays is secondary, and it shows. But then people take Radio 1 as gospel and that's all they buy. At least Radio 1 has a few good music shows even if they are in the middle of the night. It must be 6 years since MTV actually showed a music video.
