Gladiator benefitting from crap there then cos it was poor itself. To find the best film of the genre you have to go back to Spartacus. Gladiator is a pale imitation of it. And once and for all Joaquin Pheonix cannot act. Spartacus - the worst film Kubrick was ever involved with. Ben-Hur was canny. Have you heard of eyes wide shut? Yeah. Never seen it though.

well if your current PC is taking up too much space then buying a smaller desks just gonna make it seem worse! I have a huge desk. Could get a smaller one that would hold the PC comfortably, but would rather get rid altogether and just sit on the sofa with a laptop and have more living space. I've been PM'd a good deal. Thanks for all your help

They're available under £678? Link me.

27 year old and you're still worrying about going into Harry Ramp shops rather than worrying about getting yourself a bargain? Some quality stuff in Aldi. The Chocolate Mousse they used to do was lush.

Got myself one of them chrome towel hanging radiator jobbies there today. Aldi's tip top.

My PC is taking up far too much space so I want a laptop to make some space. I know fuck all about PC's/Laptops though, so could someone give me a clue where's best to go and what I should be looking at to match/improve my current performance. At the moment I have Dell Dimension DIM3000 Intel® Celeron® CPU 2.93GHz 2.93 GHz, 768 MB of RAM Whatever that all means. I guess buying a new laptop means I'll get Vista and will need loads more...erm....stuff(?) to cope. I use my PC for internet browsing/downloading/streamed videos/ripping/burning/Itunes/MSN and email. No games. Not fussed about screen size (can you plug a laptop into an LCD TV that takes a PC?) Tried building one at Dell, but the best match I could come up with came to £678 Twice the cost of my Desktop 3 years ago. Am I best off just buying a smaller desk?

Worked fine for me on Saturday. I diod have a similar problem at Tesco though, rang up their support and the bloke got me to delete all my cookies and retry. ....didn't work like, but might be worth giving a go.

I love solutions to problems that don't exist.

Yeah, I did go for a basic model like, couldn't really justify the price of this beauty... http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/product.asp?id=4759 Am I missing something here? That's a remote controller, right? Oh yes, isn't she lovely. Imagine taking a shit and being able to select any tune on your PC? Or having a barbecue and being able to cook the meat and not leave song selection to the Mrs who can't do either. Drool.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched
Happy Face replied to Jimbo's topic in General Chat
Have you seen The Ladykillers or Intolerable Cruelty? I don't think The Man Who Wasn't There is as good as their best, but it would probably be one of the best films to get a wide release 50 out of 52 weeks in the year. I've got Intolerable Cruelty to watch (really looking forward to it now like ) and I've not seen the Ladykillers either (I want to wait until I've seen the original). It wasn't a bad film just when compared to Millers Crossing, Fargo, The Big Lebowski etc I was just left disapointed. And I don't think I like Billy Bob Thornton much tbh. Billy-Bob is a legend tbh. "Heavens to betsy Birdy" Bad Santa? -
Virgin plans Sports News channel...and sky loses massive audience
Happy Face replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
When I rang up to cancel the tv just now the bloke was adamant the SSN would be back soon. Told him I didn't give a toss since it's on freeview anyway and I currently seem to be paying £5.50 a month for E4. I've not seen it anywhere, but are Virgin upgrading everyones internet for free in may? Everyone I know who's rang up has been bumped to the next package....from May. Why not straight away? -

Roeder: No one could have done better than me!
Happy Face replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'm not in love with Roeder or anything. I just feel that there are always alternative viewpoints, and the board would be one big circle-jerk if someone didn't point them out! Circle Jerk? Are you actually American? It's a wank-wheel man.
