Got Talk Radio free with the Sunday Times a while ago and haven't got round to watching it yet. That's where I got it. Hadn't heard of it before that.

Mission Impossible 3 - Enjoyable. Liked Philip Seymour Hoffman as a baddie, and Ving Rhames was quite amusing. Used a few times to wink at the audience to say we all know this is daft and everything will be fine, but let's enjoy the ride. I did. Talk Radio - Oliver Stone film about a controversial Dallas talk radio host whose popularity is such that his show might go national. He has a mini breakdown on air what with all the threats on his life and his inability to communicate with his ex-wife, his manager, his producer, his girfriend or anyone for that matter. People love him because he's obnoxious, and he loves that, but he hates the fact that he's like that. Canny little film.

From Here We Go To Sublime by The Field (top of my list) sounds exactly what you're after. One of the albums of 2007 too. Was suprised it's not been mentioned in the "Listening" thread. Recommended to everyone, even if they aren't trying to get some.
