Well he's been a pioneer for an entire genre. Wiley might have done it, but has refused to dilute his style so remains a low seller, like all crossover talents Dizzee Rascal has mixed a pop sensibility into his marginalised style (grime). he's one of the most original artists the UK has produced in years, he's sounded fresh on every album he's done, still not running out of ideas and has a distinctive voice. I actually agree with you on some of his album fillers, but, his good stuff is brilliant.

There was an interview in the Times magazine this weekend where they said how good it was that throughout all this coverage he's getting, his skin colour isn't commented on at all as an issue.
