I haven't got time for this Mickey Mouse bullshit.

Steamboy Imagine this film being made anywhere else. A cartoon about scientific endeavour and it's relationship with the arms trade. Something for the kids to lap up. Second anime from the director of Akira it's well worth a watch. -
SATURDAY 30TH JUNE REQUIEM FOR A DREAM 12midnight BBC2 A well put together film, but the "Drugs are baad, mmmkay" message is hammered home excrutiatingly. PERSONA 2.25am Film4 Ingmar Bergman masterpiece. Proper head fuck. SUNDAY 1ST JULY KILL BILL VOL 2 10pm BBC2 Flabby follow up that still has its moments. MONDAY 2ND JULY FALLING DOWN 9pm ITV2 Michael Douglas goes postal. Very entertaining. THE INSIDER 10pm ITV4 A rare gem in that it's a Russell Crowe film that's not complete horseshit. In fact it's excellent. Al Pacino too. Celebrate the smoking ban by seeing how the whistle was blown on the big tobacco companies. TUESDAY 3RD JULY GREAT EXPECTATIONS 4.30pm Film4 David Lean. ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN 10pm ITV4 Good Night and Good Luck for the Nixon era. Highly recommended. WEDNESDAY 4TH JULY THE 'BURBS 9pm ITV2 WARGAMES 9.40pm ITV3 Two excellent family films. Why are they on so late? THE HUSTLER 1.10am Film4 Paul Newman's second best performance. THURSDAY 5TH JULY BLACK NARCISSUS 4pm More4 Sexually frustrated nuns go mental watching a hunk work in their church. Classic FRIDAY 6TH JULY THE ELEPHANT MAN 9.10pm ITV3 David Lynch film with an easy to follow narrative MILLER'S CROSSING 11.10pm Film4 Excellent gangster film. Why is it that Goodfellas is universally adored, yet you mention this to a lay person and they've never even heard of it?

I think Alex is your man. It's embarrasing when I think back how anti-electronic I used to be. Up to the age of 20 I would abuse anyone who even suggested it was acceptable to listen to, or that electronic artists had any talent whatsoever.

Were his two dads Liberace and Freddie Mercury?

A lad I go to the match with works there. He seems to have fun. Always showing us videos of the after hours antics they get up to in store. Unfortunately it entails mimicking WWF moves onto empty cardboard boxes and using the tobacco counter as a top turnbuckle rather than bosting the checkout girls all over the shop.

I don't think an hour of my life has ever passed as slowly as this one. Roll on half 5. Off to watch the legend that is Graham Russell tonight. Bit of DIY then a bottle of red or 2 with a takeaway on Saturday. Perhaps watch Head On or The Child. Pub dinner, and a few pints watching the Grand Prix Sunday.

The dead John trumps him with 2 musical kids.

Art Brut do that. Better lyrics too imo

A husband who's shagged around with impunity at that. Girls desperation tbh
-
Bah. Wouldn't mind that. Some of The Specials joined Lily Allen at Glastonbury too. Drop her and that would be canny.

Are Guns N Roses getting back together properly or did I dream it?

I was listening to The Aliens for the first time this morning and a few lyrics hit me, but I can't remember them or find them. All stuff about being very bitter towards women who are basically snakes with mammary glands.

How I miss TV burp. "GET OUT!"

Oh dear. Who you into like? McFly? I just think the Killers last album was very average, not a patch on their debut IMO. Cant disagree with that one like, however at the same time "Beatles For Sale" was a shit album. Aye but that was a cynical cash in for Christmas and came out just a few months after A Hard Days Night, not an opus 2 years in the making.

Decent One great single. Some canny singles. Poor live performers judging by Glastonbury.
