  1. And if you never heard it go here http://www.internettreehouse.co.uk/footie2.htm and listen to "Wooden Bowtie"
  2. Anyone who listened to their football show in any of it's many past formats will know how class it is. By far the best football show there's been. Better than Fantasy Football even. http://www.bakerandkelly.com/ Listen to a preview... http://thisislondon.wippit.com/DetailItem_...;StrMediaType=S
  3. That's quite a range! When you can get Kurosawa's back catalogue at £2 a pop or Miike's for £3, the 'add to basket' button does take a pounding.
  4. I always order 3 or 40 to get a good price. Some cracking deals to be had on there. Make sure there's english subs on any foreign films you get.
  5. Is this out on DVD? I love Oldboy and Lady Vengence and I'm looking forward to Mr Vengence too. Not over here, but it is in asia.... http://www.dddhouse.com/v3/product_details...?ProductID=7301
  6. I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK The new film from Chan Wook Park (who we all love for Oldboy). The title suggests a sci-fi romp, but it's not, it's set in a mental institute where a young lass whose family has a history of mental disorders, is being treated for one of her own (the title should cover that). Sounds depressing, but it's all done with a sense of humour and looks as gorgeous as anything Park's done before. Absoloutley love the guy more and more with every film. I read an interview with him where he said he made this as a film his kids could enjoy. Don't worry though, within the first 5 minutes a lass has slit her wrists, wanged some live wires into her arm and blown herself across the room in a singed mess. There's much more carnage throughout too. The tone is a lot lighter than any of his previous films though, I imagine a large percentage of Oldboy fans will be disappointed with it. For me the line is always clear between the girls hallucinations, and reality, but I think it'll just weird out people too much to be as popular as his other stuff.

  8. Dunno, but there#s only one song you need for that.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1_bn3oj_t8 If Lenny Bruce was alive he'd be shitting himself.
  9. Animal Collective - Peacebone Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over!
  10. Not sure if religion itself is the root of all evil so much as people not accepting other faiths. When the UN pronounce religion is outlawed and send in the soldiers to close down the churches, synagogues, mosques etc I think it might kick off a bit more than it ever has before.
  11. Rest easy in the knowledge that those people are going to hell.
  12. I'm predicting DVDs Happy birthdays!
  13. after Leicester and Birmingham, where next ? Liverpool, Bradford, Newcastle ? What are you going to do if its Newcastle, and what will happen if they want to impose muslim laws it's the logical outcome and if you can't see that then youre the thick cunt
  14. A GAY??? On telly???? Good lord! Give it 20 years and hetero's will be in the minority in Leicester and Birmingham.
  15. Intolerance After Birth of a Nation DW Griffiths had to respond to charges of racism by making a statement that he just wants us all to get along, so he made this epic that spans the ages from Babylonian times, through the life of Jesus and up to modern times. The "Think of the children - intolerance is bad" theme could be taken far more seriously if he wasn't constantly belittling the women’s reform groups of the 20's as ugly spinsters bitter that they're unable to snare a bloke. Way Down East He continued to appease his critics, first with Broken Blossoms about a Chinese kid that falls for a white girl, which he insists is fine by him....though they must NEVER consumate the relationship, then with Way Down East a tale of pre-marital sex and how not all people who partake should be outcast. Amazing finale as the fella jumps across river ice that's rapidly breaking up and rushing towards a waterfall to rescue the slut of a woman that had a child out of wedlock. The real baddies here aren't the women who give in to temptation, but the cads and rotters that needle them into doing so.
  16. Why should he have to tbf? It's the same with all these deals, they hope you forget to cancel or they just rip you off anyway. I reckon the onus should be on them to ask if you want to continue. I like it just the way it is personally, if you had to agree to subscribe after the free trial, the number of free trials offered would quickly dwindle. Wacky, it's not important when you cancelled, but when you returned the DVDs you had. If you cancelled then delayed returning them, or they got delayed in the postal strikes, then they've not breached the T&C's. If the other lot of DVD's they sent out were dispatched within 7 days of the end of your trial, then you're due a refund.
  17. I thought Geremi had the better game of our two central midfielders. Butt won balls and found space, but never did anything with the ball once he had it. The chance he missed was gutting too. Geremi always looked compsed to me. Overall a class performance by everyone though, dominated the whole game. More of this please.
  18. SATURDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER INSIDE DEEP THROAT 12.15am Documentary about the film that made porno chic in the 70's. Worth it alone for the owner of a cinema whose wife berates him throughout the interview for even talking about it. SUNDAY 2ND SEPTMEBER BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II 2.35pm ITV2 If you haven't seen this, it's a yawning chasm in your pop culture knowledge and needs to be rectified. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING 5.45pm Channel 4 If you haven't seen this, it's a yawning chasm in your pop culture knowledge and needs to be rectified. MONDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS 11.05pm ITV1 Bone chilling. WEDNESDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER THE COMMITMENTS 10.40pm Film4 Very funny film, for music fans especially. RUMBLE FISH 12.55am Film4 From the maker of Apocalypse Now and The Godfather.
  19. Gremlins 20 years before Al Gore got a bee in his bonnet Chris Columbus wrote this cautionary tale of mans contempt for nature. Like Nostradamus he predicted that our inability to harness nature with any level of responsibility would spell disaster. And here we are now, floods and fatal temparatures wiping out the planet, much like cute little Mogwai, a natural phenomenon turned rampant by human meddling. It has the power to turn even the most Jeremy Clarkson of us into tree huggers.
  20. Fingers crossed for a win on your big day.
  21. So long Knob. Love the little fella.
  22. Suckin on my titties like you wanna be callin me... Legendary!
