Bramble and Moore. Fair enough. I don't agree for a second that either deserved one like. Moore in particular was injury-prone, about the slowest defender in the league and wanted to leave anyway. Maybe Bramble could have been offered a year. Very debatable whether 1) He have took that and 2) whether it would have been a good idea. There's no way any more than a year would have been on offer though. ARS. TBF my view is probably tainted by a large degree of hindsight. I mean, if Ramage, Carr and Babayaro were fit we'd still have a bedrock of players at the back who'd played together before. However I'd prefer any of those three to have been off our books, rather than the two I mentioned. It's just the way the cookie crumbled with contracts running out I guess.

Bramble and Moore.

But at least 75% of the back line have been new foreign players in every game we've played. I think it's having a go at Allardyce (if anyone) more than any players in particular.
-
But they needed to go, no doubt about that Perhaps in the long run they weren't good enough for where we want to be. But the defence did a fine job last season. For all of his talk of doing a slow re-building job at the club, Allardyce really rushed that one imo.
-
How's it shite? I don't know about any 10 game rule or owt, but we've not started 2 players who were acquanted before the start of the season at the back. I can see why they still haven't gelled. Allardyce made a rash decision in getting rid of 5 defenders on his first day at the club, players he hadn't even looked at for himself.

I'd have to have Atlas by Battles. Also Prelude for Time Feelers by Eluvium. No Pussy Blues by Grinderman too. And New York I Love You by LCD Soundsystem. Then there's Intervention by Arcade Fire. I'd have to have a think about another 5.

2 games ago we lost 4-1 at home and the team were booed off, after being shown up by Reading. Cloud cuckoo land. In the full interview I am sure he had been talking about home match form and was saying how after two good wins against Everton and Spurs the next next home matches later and its a disaster. And here's me thinking he couldn't be less concerned with winning points away.

That's very magnanimous of you Sam, but I think the disapproval was aimed at YOU more than the team 2 games ago we lost 4-1 at home and the team were booed off, after being shown up by Reading. Cloud cuckoo land.

Most bookies will give you better than evens I reckon.

no, they aren't my 10 songs of 2007.

like Gemmil?

Do they? It's all smoke and mirrors imo.

Out of interest why were you against Allardyce's appointment and how bad are you willing to let it get ? I thought he was no better than Roeder tactically. I thought Bolton played ugly football that Newcastle fans would not accept and that he had a small club mentality that approached games from a point of view of upsetting the opposition rather than matching them. We've got a defence who haven't had one player acquainted with another from last season in a single game. It needs to be sorted but everyone went along with the dismantling of the team when he arrived. Getting rid would be embarrasing.
-
I find it hilarious that I was the one most vehemently against this blokes appointment, but now he's here I'm his biggest supporter. What happened to the 2 year plan with a proven manager etc.? Jesus wept. Mind you, we were shite second half, and I don't know what he was thinking with his substitutions.
-
You're having a fucking laugh, how can anyone blame the crowd for todays non-performance, the fixture was effectively over before a ball was kicked and how long can people go on saying "its only X games", we are getting worse by the match and mistakes made by our manager are not being rectified. Don't agree it was over before a ball was kicked. Given only made one save in the first half. I couldn't believe how unhappy people were with the first half.
-
We lost against Liverpool. Badly. But howay, they aren't a bad side. In the first half I reckon we set up well against them. It's only when the crowd got on their back that we wilted. Still don't see the point in getting rid. 13 games? Howay man.

Pegg and his fat mate come across as arrogant tossers on the DVD extras. Sending texts while being interviewed and that. Canny film I thought though. -
Knew Dalglish would be shite. But had every faith in Gullit.

"Absoloutley nothing!"

At least there's no hurry. Might even be worth waiting until the end of the season when the merry go round would open more opportunities.

Maybe a closer resemblence, but Baldwin was far to exciting and feisty a character to be compared. That fella stood in the tunnel under his brolly had Barlow written all over him.
-
The pub went wild following his wonder save, the laughter when the replay showed that he couldn't get out of the way before it thumped his neck spoke volumes.

I reckon the middle 2 might be possibilities. The first must look at the players we've got and realise they just won't cut the mustard. The latter couldn't have the gall, could he?
