  1. Apparently we're getting electricity soon, too! He was more scathing of that a few weeks back... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtm...5/sfnhen115.xml If he thinks his writing is classy his barmoeter must be a bit fucked.
  2. Significant number? Significant majority would be a better choice of words. Where's that from? .com quoting The Telegraph, but I couldn't find it on the site.
  3. Along with the majority of fans who don't want him here at the moment. Paper talk whips up up this shite then derides us for it. I don't know where they get the nerve.
  4. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtm...3/sfnhen103.xml Newspaper equivalent of Mike Parry

  7. Anyone asked "Should Sam Allardyce be sacked?"
  8. Brown wings? Well done mate.
  9. What are you defending Sam for then? Because he'll bring Intertoto cup glory. Nah, perhaps the top 6 one would be a realistic aim. That's all this season is about for Sam, lowering expectations. It's HP's default template. See Roeder. I was spot on though wasn't I Mr "Big Sam is just the sort of organised man we need"

  11. Neil Warnock was at Sheffield United for 8 years but that didn't make him a manager of Ferguson and Wenger's ability. What a crock. Sometime people are just average and they will never do any better than that. Allardyce will always be more Warnock than Wenger regardless of how long he's given. I agree. Never wanted him. But he's here now and to make the best of it going forward can't you put aside your personal displeasure at some of the more tedious performances and give support to the man who's proven he can get even smaller clubs into Europe or thereabouts consistently, even with what little talent or flair he has? We need to become more attractive to talented managers. 5 managers in less than 4 years doesn't tend to do that.
  12. He IS the answer if we want to be Intertoto battlers for a few years consolidation. A springboard to better things.
  13. 2 days to put them away or.....actually I don't know what. Bad luck in 2008 I guess.
  14. Suprisingly common sense turn around. Generally spot on. Though I reckon Everton will struggle next year. yoyo team.
  15. Though, to be honest, the discs were free... http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/news-features/ne...Ds-16102007.htm
  16. "I've been here for three-and-a-half years and I've had four managers." Is the most telling quote for me. Perhaps the players aren't performing for the club, rather than the managers. And who can blame them with this rate of turnover. If I got a new manager every time it came to my yearly review I'd get mighty pissed off with the company.
  17. Allardyce has to stay, says Butt Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt has urged the club to keep faith with under-fire manager Sam Allardyce. Allardyce admitted the pressure was mounting after the Magpies lost to Manchester City at home on Wednesday - their third successive defeat. But Butt said: "Things will never improve unless he's given time. I've been here for three-and-a-half years and I've had four managers. "Sooner or later someone has got to say this is the manager we're standing by." Newcastle face high-flying Championship side Stoke in the FA Cup third round on Sunday and defeat would make Allardyce's position even more precarious after only seven months in charge. However, Butt, who spent 11 years under Sir Alex Ferguson at former club Manchester United, is convinced stability is the key to long-term success. "If you look at all the big teams, like United and Arsenal, they're the clubs that have stood by managers for a long time," he said. "If we do that, I'm sure we'll do it right." The 32-year-old added: "These are tough times at the moment but all of us in the dressing room just have to stand up and be counted. "Lately, there have been signs we are improving. Had we taken one of our chances when we lost 2-0 against Manchester City on Wednesday, it could have been a different story. We didn't and we have to kick on." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ted/7171110.stm
  18. Not THAT bad, but canny shite. What I found incredicle was the cavalcade of international crew members that were knocked off one by one to leave only the white crew for the final reel. Was that intentional? Was it meant to be taking the piss out of the B-movie convention? Because it was otherwise very earnest. Otherwise I thought it was acceptable until the unknown crew mwmber arrived and it went drastically down hill in terms of creditability as well as story telling which became as confused as hell. I dont think it was that deep. Just not a very good movie in my opinion. So shallow it couldn't even take the piss out of B movies? ouch.
  19. In your opinion. My opinion is sack the bastard. s'what forums are all about isn't it. I'm getting a huge case of deja vu from the time we sacked Roeder though.
  20. It'd be an absoloute travesty if we sack Allardyce thgis season or before next.
  21. People still peddling this crap? Did an excellent job with England. The papers made him a laughing stock.
