Surely that would epitomise lack of ambition, if they'd even tried to get Van Gaal from AZ or something you'd feel they want the club to be in the upper tier, but to just go direct to Redknapp? Is that the best they could come up with in their blue sky session?
-
I'll be a lot happier to welcome him than I was to welcome Allardyce. It's just crushing to see Morshley's lack of ambition approaching a bloke who as far as I know, hasn't even managed a game in Europe.
-
He was the Spuds vice president. Instrumental in getting rid of Jol. He didn't approach his bum chum Redknapp for them though, a top european manager was what he wanted for his club. He wanted Redknapp. Whatever the other guy is called wanted Ramos. Not how the Spurs fans tell it... http://theshelf.blogspot.com/2007/10/kemsl...e-could-be.html

I think he pushed quite hard for Arry but the rest of the board weren't convinced. If only Newcastle had a board who could veto this madness.

I can't view videos at work, but I think this is him...
-
I think 90% of the paper speculation must be coming from him. Hopefully you're right and Ashley will make him look a tit.

Anyone else despise this fat little greasy cockney? Alan Sugar's lapdog, he comes across as a complete wanker on The Apprentice, but he seems to have Ashley's ear and be guiding him through this whole process. He's known to hate Jol and admire Redknapp, so who do we 'seem' to be going for? Isn't there a conflict of interest with this twat advising Ashley in any capacity whatsoever? Fuck off and look after your own club you twunt!

Is all the big money going on Redknapp based on this 2 month old article? Flimsy.

...and Fulham...and England.

Never saw that one. A few from work are on here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/tyne/content/articles...s_feature.shtml look for "Watch: Look North on Allardyce's departure (09/01/08) " See if you can guess which is the cricket obsessed contractor not from round these parts.

Has been on holiday since last week. Which makes Anal's story about Ashley not being happy after the stoke game completely shite. I was stood behind him at the Stoke game, so I don't know what your sauce is. EDIT: Goes to show what shite half these jackanories are. I think you've been on telly a few times today. I was a good few rows behind so probably not. Half the people from work have though (we use Newcastle Breweries car park), adding their two cents despite not even being interested in football, let alone Newcastle.

You cant be fucking serious playing Smith in Centre Midfield! Whey shove him up front and call it 433 because there's fuck all else to choose from.

Promotion with Bournemouth? And that's a guess. That's about it, yes, I've just had a look at his Wikipedia entry. In a way Redknapp, too, is just another flavour of the month manager - his CV isn't particularly impressive at all. Funny after the coppers went round his gaff though. Shirley was none too chuffed though. He had to give her a dry slap.
-
What's wrong with looking at achievements re. trophies? There are managers out there with champion's league, premier league, other league wins. This contrasts nicely with Allardyce. Let's get Souness.
-
P24W8D6L10 And if Shearer managed that in his first games? Go get your crystal ball and tell me it would never happen. Not sure what you mean. It's marginally better than Roeder's last 24 and even worse than Souness (P24W10D4L10). I don't see why it wouldn't/shouldn't get Shearer the sack either.

Sorry for Allardyce? Only has himself to blame. His signings, tactics and outlook screamed smalltime. In all his 24 games he won 8 and drew 6 In Roeder's LAST 24 he won 7 and drew 6 At least he had injuries to blame.
-
That's the only time I'd have advocated sacking him, but now it's been done I'm over the moon to have been put out of my misery. Morshley has made a tough, unpopular decision because they're in the position to do so. They'll live or die by that decision, not the fans.
