Boy and Bicycle Ridley Scott's first short film is a half hour traipse around the North East with a boy (Tony Scott) playing hooky from school. Made in 1965, I didn't recognise anywhere (though it was apparently filmed mainly in South Shields, where he was brought up). There is a reference to Harton where I went to school though. It's available as an extra on the special edition DVD of... The Duellists Ridley scott's first film proper won the Grand Prix at Cannes. It has some gorgeous scenes, not least the final one of the sun breaking over a valley as Harvey Keitel in full Napolean garb looks on, it's Herzogian in it's lingering beauty. The story didn't really do it for me however as two men persist in chasing their own version of honour over decades, forgetting the insignificant trigger for their constant duelling. Family Plot Hitchcock's last film. A bit dull. -

I've only seen him make a tit of himself in public speaking, perhaps he's alright given time to think and apply strategies long term. Could he actually be any good? Apparently not.

Chaplin started all about the funny and got more political until there weren't that many laughs in the end. The earlier stuff is the best. The Circus and the Kid are funniest for me. full films (almost) http://www.archive.org/details/TheCircus http://www.archive.org/details/TheKid -

I wonder if Stelling will ask him if he's taken a bung again. -

Ronnie O'Sullivan won all eight frames of a one-sided second session to take a 12-4 lead over Stephen Hendry in their World Championship semi-final. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/other_spor...ker/7378321.stm Go Ronnie!

I suppose he has only scored as many as Luque did for us.

A few spakey goals late on from Alves saw him dodge the flop bullet.

I thought he was letting him get off lightly...until the end.

I like how Ken admitted on last weeks question Time how he scammed the government into bidding for the olympics.

The natural state of an Everton or Newcastle football fan is bitterness. The natural state of a glory hunter is conceited....without even earning it. (winning is earned) Edited for accuracy.-------------------I love football. Because you're a glory hunter. Muppet logic.........................does it make you an inbred sadonist cause you support a club that can win fuck all? I was following the logic that you're using an imaginary location in your profile under your ava there. Clearly not actually from Liverpool.

(winning is earned) Edited for accuracy.-------------------I love football. Because you're a glory hunter. Since we've got sky sports, my housemate, who has never followed football since supporting West Ham as a child, wants to find a team to support. In his own words "I don't want a team that aren't any good, so I'll probably support Arsenal", justifying at as he's from London, although his home is actually in Essex. I've already told him that if he does start 'following' Arsenal I will have very little regard for his 'support'. You can't just choose success. The worst thing about this is that he doesn't understand why. Talk about a child of Murdoch. My bairn was doing shite at shool so I put him up for adoption and adopted a different one who was brighter. I've never been happier.

Yes we did. But "the main thing" is being there....................not that I expect you to know or understand that. I do understand it though. I'd much rather be where Liverpool are as a club. I'm just amused you lost because you're an arrogant wanker (not atypical of your support in general). I hope that clears it up. Still going to Moscow btw? Enjoy it Personal abuse.....................is that the last line of defense? You`re a submissive underachieving wanker.....................because you have every reason to be. coming onto another teams football message board to tell them how great you are ? How fuckin sad is that. It feels great actually!................you should try it?! I mean you have won more than stoke haven`t you? I wonder if we'll all turn into cunts like Torres if we win something? I'd rather remain potless.

Newcastle set to rebuff Liverpool offer for Harper
Happy Face replied to asteroidblitz's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'm only offering my positive opinions, is that not allowed now either? However you're off topic, and are therefore ruining the thread. Fucking dullard.
