  1. Anyone would think the club had no idea this was coming up. Why weren't they prepared to take action either way depending on the verdict? To release a statement saying we'll have a think about it is pathetic.
  2. Like you're not sure I saw the front page. She seemed to be kissing the top of this blokes head though. Didn't look sexual at all.
  3. I reckon by the time anyone bids on him we'd have paid him in wages what we manage to get back on a fee. Could be, do we definitely still have to pay him while he's in jail? If we choose not to sack him, I'd have thought so.
  4. Wasn't his wife on the front of the News of The World snogging some bloke on Sunday too?

  6. Clearly you've been reading a great deal on the subject. ? 'Burma', nein?
  7. I feel the complete opposite. I reckon the job requires an inside knowledge of how the football world works tbh. I had hoped that the initial rumours of David Dein coming on board were true - however, they proved not. I agree there. By his own admission he knows very little about the game and even less about being a club chairman. What knowledge of the game is actually required for a chairman? I think a knowledge of the industry would obviously be an advantage but it's not that much different from any other sporting club. One area in which a 'football' person would be a bonus is regarding contacts in the game, however, with Wise, Jiminez and the other fella on the board I don't think that that is as much of an issue with us. The lass on reception reckons Freddy Shepherd has been in asking for an application form. [/iTK]

  9. If there's one thing guaranteed to annoy a Luke even more, it's calling them Lukey Boy. Btw, didn't Jonny ban that RICO for racism? But racism is okay if it's in this thread, is that how it works? I'm not suggesting anyone should be banned, of course. In this thread I would say it is ok to some extent. I don't think Brock in genuinely racist. ''Don't open if easily offended'' Ah, okay, it is allowed, thanks for the clarification. Double standards, yay! And I'll open whatever threads I fucking want. Thats precisely what this thread is. the double standards thread. Where outside we can all be upstanding citizens who cower at the mear thought of hurting someones feelings if, god forbid, you tell somethats thats means to be a joke (I say meant to be due to the standards in here ) while inside, we poke each other with shitty sticks and take the piss for being fat, smelly, white, green, one legged, bent or indeed GINGER. Ah, you mean a thread where cowards can air their bigotry on the internet free from consequences. GREAT. Do you work in HR or something?
  10. Keep it in the joke thread please. The next person that makes Luke cry is getting banned.
  11. Can we not not knock him? I encourage it.

i'm academically about to finish my first but seeing as my course is a three year BA compressed into two years I can't really divide up my years. why? I recognise the patter that's all. A lot of the student's on here tend to articulate discussions in their first and second year, i know i tried. Then you forget about the 'Ideology of the image' and cultural relevance and replace it with. ''Kid rockz shit lolz!!1'' or something to that extent. Anyway one of the films I worked on is being shown today, so wish me luck! REALLY? Why didn't you mention it? Good luck.
  14. If you don't like the headliners, there's some quality earlier on... Crystal Castles Does It Offend You, Yeah? Hercules and Love Affair

Didn't he once enter a Charlie Chaplin look-alike competition and come 2nd? I always thought that was a myth. http://www.snopes.com/movies/actors/chaplin2.asp I've seen footage of him teaching people the walk. I thought it was on a ship back to London though.
  16. Hobson's choice tonight like. I'm sure you said the same about the FA Cup... Hobsons choice, I'm sure most people don't know what you mean, I had to look it up. Always a good idea when you don't know what something means like Aye, I have my screening(in a cinema today so i think i might casually slip in a few''Ah Hobsons Choice'' to confuse people That tickles me. The thought that you'll get it wrong moreso... "Well of course I hate blues and love reds, so there was only one choice of filter to go with for this scene" "Ah, Hobson's choice!" "Pardon?"
  17. The only stuff I've heard about tonight's final was on five live this morning. That was annoying enough like, the whole breakfast show done from Russia with the likes of Terry Christian piping up. Is it on ITV?
  18. I like her little role in All About Eve most. More of a goer in that.

explain how Crazy Frog got to No. 1 ahead of Coldplay then. Crazy Frog must be better as it sold more records. right? taste has nothing to do with relativism. i'm sure everyone here is completely sincere with their tastes because it's easy to be found out if your not. popularity has never, ever, ever been a barometer for the value or virtue of an artistic medium - in fact - through the history of 20th Century art - the greatest artists, in their respective mediums (Tarkovsky / Bresson / Chaplin in Cinema, Dahli / Bacon in Art etc.) are the ones who have commercially unsuccessful because their philosophies regarding their approach to creation is so ahead of it's time that their work doesn't fit within the aesthetic criteria of their epoch. how you can argue Kid Rock has any value artistically, not COMMERCIALLY, is beyond me, and you've yet to do it. so go on. please. A lot of people on here would agree that Crazy Frog is the lesser of 2 evils compared to Coldplay. Chaplin was by far the most hugely succesful star of the silent era.
  20. If you're going to sit in the park on your lunch hour perving on the sunshine fanny, you need some books to pretend you're reading.
  21. At the risk of opening a big can of worms, I was talking to a guy at the weekend (I was on a Stag Do with some guys I didn't know) who'd done 4months and he gave me the impression it wasn't all plain sailing. I'll agree that it sounds a bit hotel-like; but some of the things he was telling me didn't make it sound like a picnic either. I don't want to get into a debate about how good/bad prison is; just thought I say that from talking to someone who'd been in; I wouldn't fancy it. I was doing an impression of the Express. I'm sure I'd find it a total nightmare...as would most people who claim it's a cake walk. That's not to say it's as gruelling as it should be necessarily.
  22. It's like a holiday camp. X-boxes, telly in your room, 3 square meals a day, no stress. Most prisoners don't even want to break out. He'll be looking forward to doing the full 6 months.
  23. The England job is a pisser and can bring the worst out in managers, the pressure on them brings out mistakes if they're in the least bit weak willed. The press are complete arseholes. Graham taylor was an excellent manager and I'm always impressed with his punditry, but his time at England will taint him forever. I don't think McLaren is half the manager Taylor was, but I don't see why he shouldn't have a job in management if Steve Bruce does.
  24. Finally sorted. What I had to do was open Windows Media player (version 11) and share my library with other devices. I can then add the name of all other devices on the network and they can see stuff on the main PC. At last, 280Gb of music, video and photos streamed to my archos when I'm taking a shit.
