And here's me thinking the New Wave is just a period of popularity for a nations cinema. The films that most identify with the term French New Wave just being the most popular. What style is defined by the current Romanian New Wave? Or the Germnan New Wave of the last few years?

What self respecting 10 year old is going to call it "hide and seek". That's what under fives play in the house. "Blocka" is played over a 3 or 4 street circumference by the hard kids who's mam and dad don't smack them for leaving the garden. What was it called when you chalked arrows on the floor and someone had to find you?

I wouldn't bother, it's possibly the worst film I've ever watched. Was going to say hated it from start to finish but I didn't quite make the end becuase after sitting through more than an hour of absolute boredom I switched it off before the end. It's all in the final shot. So it is worth watching? Dunno, I just like the young tearaway and enjoyed watching him get into scrapes.
