  1. With the best will in the word if Man U play as they played averagely last season and if we played as we played at our best, we'd be lucky to draw. Clearly gutted no-one responded to your normal contrary line and changed it to try and get a bite.
  2. I think (well, hope) this is a tactical leak more about lowering the expectations of arriving players than pissing off existing players, who'll get what they have to (if they're first teamers).
  3. This defeatist attitude appalls me.
  4. This land is your land, this land is my land From California, to the New York Island From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters This land was made for you and me
  5. They were held at home by Reading on the opening day of last season.
  6. March going into April is a canny run of home games.
  7. Freddy Shepherd thinks Newcastle has it's fair share of munters.
  8. All the best looking single mums in Boldon shop at Asda too.
  9. Why do Arcade Fire always get dragged into Coldplay arguments?
  10. series two is the worst for me. when the lad with the duck does that thing to the people it is the most ridiculous moment outside of seris fives credulity stretching arc.
  11. Must be innocent I suppose.
  12. Nice to see them getting lavish praise across the board this morning. Of course, if Keegan was in charge he'd have got slated for the naivety behind the attack, attack, attack approach, letting the players dictate his tactics and the papers would assure us they'd come unstuck sooner or later.
  13. http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/entertai...000/7452177.stm Verdict soon. Clearly a black Gary Glitter.
  14. Fairly sure the wage bill will be big enough to compete with the big 4 when we actually show that we can challenge them. Us, with our wages higher than Liverpools yet performing more poorly, suggests that we have some shit on big money, that we can't replace with good player on big money until the shit has gone. Make sense, no? what about average player on average money, or do you think a good player will come here on average money Do you think Liverpool got to where they were by paying average money for good players or good money for good players Eh? What about average players on average money? It's the average players on big money that the club seems to have taken exception to. Joey Barton 60kp/w, for example. Good players will come here for average money . Or by good players, do you mean ones with big reputations at big clubs that no longer want them, because it's only those 'good players' or (declining players) that demand the huge wages. good players will go to whoever pays them most thompers lad. Except Modric. And Woodgate.
  15. Still on the up and not living on former glories, is what you could summarise all of those into. Biggest band in the world, today, was what I said afterall. Still Linkin Park whose new album got to number one in most countries and shipped over 3.3 million albums worldwide in its first four weeks of release. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minutes_to_Mi...harts_and_sales Linkin Park, whose biggest album was The Hybrid Theory? I see what you mean, best add that to the criteria Band not an artist Released four or less studio albums Since 1999 No albums prior to 1999 Still not split up Most recent album is their biggest seller But doesn't that exclude Coldplay too at the moment? Feel free to clarify each of those rules and add any, because you're leaving the field wide open at the moment. Maybe you could specify they have to be a four piece, or not use samples.
  16. Still on the up and not living on former glories, is what you could summarise all of those into. Biggest band in the world, today, was what I said afterall. It's not actually... http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=473505 Fuck me, how boring are you It is what I said. It's what you started to say after you were forced to change your argument under the weight of evidence to the contrary.

  19. Thompers can you just recap on the criteria for me? As far as I remember you want: Band not an artist Released four or less studio albums Since 1999 No albums prior to 1999 Still not split up I'm still coming up with Linkin Park. What criteria am I missing?
  20. If an artist can (like Britney Spears or Eminem who also got their starts in 1999) there's no reason a band shouldn't be able to. They're all competing in the same marketplace.
  21. Where have I suggested that the biggest sellers are better? That's why you're trotting out these figures isn't it? I stated that they were the BIGGEST band. Care to point out where I suggested they were the best? But as has been pointed out. They aren't. Note how they aren't on here.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-...lbums_worldwide or here.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best-selling_music_artist Even though many of the bands listed there are still going.
