I recently joined in a fit of boredom at work. So far 20 odd people from my past I have no interest in talking to again have asked to be my friend. But one ex whose number I'd lost has too, so it's gotta be worthwhile.
  2. Bit of an anti-climax tonight. I hoped it would kick off big style.

  5. You're fucking kidding right? You actually believe sticking a spoiler on the back of an Astra will do anything noticeable to it's performance? Fucking Hell Thompers that's dense... even for you. an no it's not a novelty, it's a wankers cap. I bet you like those shitty little blue lights chavs put on their Corsa windscreen washers Cock My Astra does 160mph, and that's standard, it's not 'sooped up' or 'modified'. Moron. How often do you take it to the track? Off to the nurburg ring in the near future as it happens. How is this relevant? I rarely stick to speed limits, like most people in any car tbh. Because then it might be justified. If you were doing a long race where fuel efficiency and aerodynamics were critical to gaining you every second you can get. If however you're doing 90 down the motorway with your window open it's a complete waste. I know a few rather well off lads who pay to take their road cars out on tracks (TVRs generally like, not Astras) as well as build their own kit cars (caterham) for track days and that. I also know a few kids that stick a spoiler on the likes of a Micra because they think it looks cool. Just wondering which group you fall into. If you think it looks cool, good luck to you by the way. I think my velcro shut trainers look cool and my dad has the opposite view. You try to be cool within your group of peers don't you, so a rear spoiler might make someone the coolest kid in the car park. Does it look like it's had a spoiler 'stuck onto it'? I love the way you think TVRs are so superior btw. I've probably got one of the best cars that I could afford to insure at my age and afford to maintain. If I could afford a TVR, I wouldn't have one. I never said they were better. I haven't got a fucking clue about cars though. Yours looks lovely. Doesn't look modified at all. There's a load of lads in the carpark outside work at the moment though with 3 cars full to the brim of 4 or 5 people each. every window open (except the blacked out front and rear), 2 with sunroofs open.....and a spoiler 2 foot in the air on the back. Cocks, right?

  8. A mechanical "improvement" would have to alter the performance of the car... which a spoiler on the back of a Punto, does not. You thick knows-nothing retard. Paint does serve a purpose so no, I wouldn't stop them painting them. as for people who get their names on the back of their shirt, I don't really care. I got my name on the back of my shirt when I was a kid and don't hold it against any kid who does the same. It's when you see 40 yr old blokes with "Geordies 4 Eva" that brings on an attack of the cringe. Charvzilla iyam but please, tell me how cool it is to have a personalised plate, on your dead cool Astra, listening to a Kid Rock/James Blunt/Coldplay megamix wearing your "Fuk tha mackems" football shirt. I tingle with anticipation. A spoiler DOES alter the performance of a car you fucking nonce! You get the same effect by leaving your windows closed tbh. The added benefit would be the town wouldn't have to listen to the wiggers cruising along with their 120 decibel Gangsta rap.
  9. SWOS wasn't as good as SS. Too much management. Of course this is better than both of them put together... Is that Kick Off 2? I hated that with a passion. Sensible Soccer (the original) for me I'm with you and Jimbo tbh. I never had a clue with it. All the older lads loved it though, and spat on the floor when I mentioned Sensible as if it wasn't for the purists. Watching those clips I can see why, huge range of goals compared to the 3 or 4 that were possible on sensible. I just wish I could actually turn with the ball in order to score any.
  10. What about people who decide to name their house? The Granary FFS.

  12. Where is SWOS ffs ?? SWOS wasn't as good as SS. Too much management. Speedball 2 FTW BTW.

  14. I read Uefa have since said that no penalty shoot-out will occur regardless of what happens. Clicky I've always said Shelagh Fogarty was a dipshit.
  15. five live said this morning that if Romania win and France and Italy draw, france and italy have to take penalties to decide who gets third place in order to calculate the coefficients after the tournament. Ridiculous.
  16. You want to tell the national office of statistics to sack all their actuaries then, and send you and your mate to ASDA's around the nation where you can judge regional poverty on the density of the single mums' eyebrow hair and reward government subsidies on that basis.
  17. Newcastle has got better than Sunderland in the last 3 years, only just.... Still the second most deprived of the five boroughs though.
  18. Your point was about the three boroughs South of the river as opposed to the two North. Ignoring the fact that North Tyneside is the 69th most deprived in the country (out of 354). If I was in the poorest 20% of people I'd not be inclined to all anyone else a scruff. see the economy tab tale of woe.... http://www.southtyneside.info/intelligence/safer/soas.asp Desolation But Newcastle are 20th. Aye but if you notice the biggest cities in the country are in the top 20, because regional capitals like Newcastle upon Tyne will attract everything. It's where la creme de la creme live, and it's also where tramps and the like live too, we can't have it all ways and this survey doesn't take everything in to account. My point was about South Tyneside overall being trampy, nothing else. The point of that survey is to take everything into account. Employment rate, income scale, extent of deprivation and concentration. The majority of the map you posted above is purple or blue, then green, then yellow. The smallest parts of the map represent the red, the lowest 10%. Compare that to the Newcastle one.... http://www.newcastle.gov.uk/wwwfileroot/cx...nce/IMD2007.pdf There's a lot of white. But I'd say there's more blue than there is green/yellow. That's more people in the poorest or richest 20% than in the middle 20-70% range. You're either a scruff or a toff in Newcastle. South Tyneside has mostly toffs, then a lot of people on middle incomes then relatively few in poverty.

If I was in the poorest 20% of people I'd not be inclined to all anyone else a scruff. see the economy tab It's similar to the Liverpool slums thing, for me. I find it embarrassing. Mainly because if the deprivation in our own part of the world. Indeed. Previously I could only find the North Tyneside rank, but a bit of digging and it seems Stevie lives in the most deprived borough of Tyne and Wear.... Table 1: District Level Summaries – 50 most deprived Rank Rank of Average Score 1 Liverpool 2 Manchester 3 Knowsley 4 Tower Hamlets 5 Hackney 6 Islington 7 Nottingham 8 Easington 9 Kingston upon Hull 10 Middlesbrough 11 Newham 12 Salford 13 Haringey 14 Hartlepool 15 Birmingham 16 Sandwell 17 Southwark 18 Stoke-on-Trent 19 Camden 20 Newcastle upon Tyne 21 Halton 22 Sunderland 23 Lambeth 24 Blackpool 25 Rochdale 26 Gateshead 27 South Tyneside 28 Barnsley 29 Barrow-in-Furness 30 Bradford 31 Leicester 32 Wear Valley 33 Mansfield 34 Blackburn with Darwen 35 Wolverhampton 36 St. Helens 37 Burnley 38 Hastings 39 Westminster 40 Doncaster 41 Greenwich 42 Barking and Dagenham 43 Oldham 44 Redcar and Cleveland 45 Wansbeck 46 Bolsover 47 Waltham Forest 48 Wirral 49 Tameside 50 Bolton http://74.125.39.104/search?q=cache:cvMufZ...;cd=1&gl=uk I really should find a more interesting job for myself.
