  1. Happy Birthday chaps. http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/s...y/8/default.stm
  2. http://www.insight-security.com/facts-knif...20the%20numbers "In London alone - over the May Bank Holiday weekend (27-29th May 06) - Police recorded over 50 knife attacks"
  3. HF thats a lovely trait to have sometimes but she does not have the same phone....she blatantly edged her way towards the phone on the counter, covered it with her her bag, picked it up and popped it in and closed her bag.....and to top it all off I have just been online to view my itemised bill and she was using it all day sunday, also bearing in mind I was ringing it sunday and I sent a text message and a voice mail to it !!!! I think I am erring towards the police now and then spreading the word of her thievery..... Well then the question is what's her muscle like? If your crew can take hers then drive by that bitch like a KFC bargain bucket.
  4. shirley she'd have realised by now? I don't see why. Most women's handbags are like Mr Trebus's house. She could easily go 2 days without noticing the extra phone in there.
  5. I'm a benefit of the doubt kinda guy. I'm sure she has the same phone and took it by mistake. I'd go and inform her and get my phone back.
  6. Nowt its all that Grand theft auto and gansta rap. is it? serious question. Either that or 11 years of soft ***** in government. Probably both. Cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, wargames....kids have always pretended to kill people for fun. Doesn't turn them into murderers.
  7. No I'm a homeowner. I got a good deal on a new 3 year fixed rate just before Brown took over, and made sure to re-mortgage enough to pay off all my outstanding borrowing. Selling DVDs helps as well I suppose ! In all seriousness though food prices, petrol and the enormous gas/electricity hikes expected I can only see a gloomy near future. That's just a precautionary measure so I get something back off what's fast becoming an obsolete format. Not that anyone should be put off making a purchase by that. I feel raped. This has been coming for a while but unfortunately it seems like the government, while seeing it, hasn't prepared for it and failed to 'save for a rainy day' while the economy was booming. I almost feel sorry for Gordon that Tony was in charge during the period when the economy pretty much ran itself and now he's left with this pile of shit in his lap, almost. That prosperity was based on cashing in every ounce of gold in the reserve though wasn't it? Tony and Gordon hit the credit cards harder than anyone. At least it was spent wisely. Now we have Policing, NHS and public transport infrastructure that will prosper over the course of the next century. Oh!

  9. I don't drive though. I think that's what's hit a lot of people hardest.

  11. Panic at the Disco fans rigged the vote. If a fan site hadn't linked to the vote they'd have been top 20 at best.
  12. I've never been so well off personally. I'm employed though, my parents are both self-employed and they've been hit hard by a lack of business. Quite a few people I know have declared or are on the verge of declaring bankrupcy too. Harsh to say, but anyone who grabbed whatever credit was hoyed at them the last 10 years really should really have seen it coming. Not that I blame them alone, it's not on the amount of borrowing creditors are (or have been) willing to give people.
  13. It would be big news if Ashley was involved in a Real Estate scam in Bangkok, but for a former leader over there ousted by a military coup it's par for the course.
  14. You are telling me he left the hot seat at Leeds to becomes a youth Scout? Well if you didn't know then I felt someone ought to tell you. I can understand the misunderstanding though, the press did sell it as something far more sinister. So he is "director of youth scouting?" No. His title is Executive director (football). "Although speculated to be in the role of Director of Football or General Manager, the job is thought to be more restricted, involving transfers, scouting and youth development. In the surprise career move, Wise had been attributed as having lost interest in direct football management since the loss of his assistant Gus Poyet to Tottenham Hotspur, and considered the executive position at Newcastle an opportunity "he had to take". In a February 2008 interview, Christopher Mort revealed that Newcastle had "heard on the grapevine" that Wise was considering a "move upstairs". Wise was selected as his relative youth and being a "bundle of energy" suited the new role that would involve "travelling around Europe and further afield". Wise, with Jeff Vetere, another new appointment in January 2008, will help identify young players for approval by first team manager Kevin Keegan. Wise will also be developing the academy." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Wise#Newcastle_United load of gobbledeegook crap. The manager is what matters. he should choose his own number 2, DOF is just a fancy title for a number 2 or a head youth scout. Director of football a move upstairs ? Only in the current world would such a thing be deemed nothing other than a complete load of utter shite That's the point. He's basically got Glenn Roeders old job with a bit more clout. More scope around who gets through the door in the first place and how far afield we chase them.

  17. I never saw the first 7 laps but from what I did the two best manouvres of the day were from Heidfeld. Took 2 places each time. Class.
  18. NPR have had a vote and took 50,000 odd votes. Clearly some fan sites have had an impact on the final result, but these things are always canny to find anything you might have missed (I didn't even know Girl Talk had a 2008 album ) http://www.npr.org/blogs/allsongs/2008/06/...cds_of_the.html Thoughts? Omissions? I know Hot Chip are English, but only 500 votes? Deserve more. No Camille either? I thought her album was quality. Almost as good as her last. Loved Black Mountain and Ratatat too
  19. We won't see the results of Wise's work for a couple of years as he's primarily involved in scouting and youth development. Not a director of football based at the club.
  20. Brian Clough also said once "no I don't think I have had enough" Just proves you cant be right all the time. A sober Brian Clough was a genius young man, a manger of the like that Newcastle or Spurds could only have dreamed of. FYP
  21. Wonder what odds I can get on any three from Everton, Portsmouth, Man City and Spurs finishing in the bottom half.
  22. Can't believe how well the point is made by looking at the last few years. each group covers 2 years, first the year they qualified, then the year they took part... (07/08) Spurs (5th/11th) Everton (6th/5th) Bolton (7th/17th) (06/07) Tottenham (5th/5th) Blackburn (6th/10th) West Ham (9th/15th) (05/06) Bolton(6th/8th) Boro(7th/14th) (04/05) Newcastle (5th/14th) Boro (11th/7th) (03/04) Liverpool (5th/4th) Blackburn (6th/15th) Southampton (8th/12th) Man City (9th/16th) Only 3 clubs from 14 have actually improved after qualifying for the UEFA cup, and one of those only got in from the bottom half so had much more scope to improve.
  23. Are they suggesting it's a motive or just a horrible coincidence. It's fucked up either way. Me and a mate were taking the piss over the weekend because Scotland Yard have changed their priority from terrorism to knife attacks (two crimes that 99% of people will never fall victim to) but something needs to happen.
  24. Or here's a plan, why don't they make the UEFA cup an actual cup competition for the clubs partaking in the Champions League. That's thinking out of the 18 yard box.
