"The Bill Gates I'm Really A Nice Guy Look Fund" You can never win in the eyes of some though. Wiping out malaria, whatever his motive, clearly isn't enough to win over some people who once had to format their hard drive. No, I just think he'll be as smart and ruthless at charity as he was a business (and god help any that get in his way/steal his limelight). I mean if ends justify the (potential) means then there's not a lot to say, but if they don't then there is. How is he going to wipe out malaria then? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7504649.stm Hopefully the first step.

He's got a unique broadcasting style you mean? Feel sorry for him. Why has he been sacked though? 3 complaints? Probably sacked for expressing political views (a big no no) rather than the complaints. Political views have a long history in radio. And long may it continue. So can no one have a radio show with political and biased content? That's fucking crazy. 3 talkradio shows in the whole U.K.??? Guests can have political views. Callers can have political views. But when a host uses a show as a platform to sway an election, I like that the station will take action. If only Rush Limbaugh could be sacked for forcing his views on the listenership.

He's got a unique broadcasting style you mean? Feel sorry for him. Why has he been sacked though? 3 complaints? I'd have preferred he wasn't like, At least I know to avoid talksport. There's no telling when I might come across his ugly little glasses balanced on a turnip head as I flick through the channels late at night in search of the Red Shoe Diaries.

Project A II Jackie Chan follow up to the one I watched last week. This time there's no Sammo Hung or Yuen Baio though, sadly. There is Maggie Cheung though but that's not enough to make it as good as part one. The big stunts just aren't as impressive (this time based on Buster Keaton, rather than Harold Lloyd) although the hand to hand fighting is every bit as good. -
Didn't you absoloutley slate him when you first started posting?

That post was the last thing I could do on Toontastic from home, since then I've been unable to view the forum, so I tried a resend to get it working, mut've posted but didn't tell me it had. Dunno what the problem is. I tried deleting all my cookies and that, but nowt.

Just finished watching it. Absoloutley craptacular I'm afraid. Shades of The Third Man, Bladerunner and Brazil (none of which I'm particularly keen on) almost entirely in sepia and completely unfathomable. I normally don't mind unfathomability because I'll watch those films over and over and keep taking something else from it. Can't imagine ever giving this another chance though as it dragged interminably with no redeeming features apart from the nice rack on show about an hour in.

Let it Be Dull look at a band disintegrating, only 2 or 3 scenes of which give any insight. The rest is just unpolished rehersals. Took some gall to release it as a film if you ask me. -
I've just gone back to the start to be reminded that the chapter is called "Once Upon A Time In....Nazi Occupied France" So I guess the similarity stands to reason.
-
Just read the opening scene. Brought to mind the opening of Once Upon A Time In The West. He's already managed to get some barefeet on screen too Not what I expected though, suggests a holocaust movie, not the Dirty Dozen actioneer I thought he'd written. Wonder how he'll be able to inject his black humour and comic violence into such a touchy subject.

Miramax have finally bought the completed script for Inglorious Basterds this week. About time too, given it's ten year gestation it should be as near to perfection as Taranteeny can get, I fear it might be a case of Chinese Democracy though. Download the script yourself here... http://www.nightly.net/movies/download-que...astards-script/

2J, you ever seen the good, the bad and the ugly projected on the big screen? Now's your chance http://www.tynecine.org/whatson/index.php#aug15 15th - 21st -
I did feel a bit queasy as they joked about Zimabwe and the killing there with no hint of criticism whatsoever...In fact only with withering contempt for the British government.

Semi-Pro I didn't laugh for the first 45 minutes, but it got a bit better as it went on. In the end I quite enjoyed it, mostly due to the quality 70's funkathon soundtrack like. -
I must have missed this when it was posted..

What's his number? I'm getting it on my shirt with 'Woody' above it. And people were worried we wouldn't be able to sign top 4 rejects who'd accomodate the new wage structure. Cynics.

I have no doubts we're active in the transfer market. Just because the press don't talk doesn't mean we're not making in roads. Well this is true, but the fact that we've missed out on a few prospects is worrying, especially a highly rated french lad who decided to go to the fookin smoggies ffs......somethings just not right here. I hope im wrong and we are lining up a few signings on the quiet.......ooooah how i dream of signin seb larsson and leroy lita He turned down us, Pompy and Monaco to go to the Smoggies, which tells me something isn't quite right there. I think his agent is McKay too which makes his decision look even more dodgy. The newspapers linked us to everyone bar Gutierrez and without any warning the signing was just announced out of the blue. The 'papers clearly no bugger all so there's no point in worrying avout the silence unless our squad is still ropey as fuck come the start of the season. You've got to remember, telling the Smoggies he turned down Newcastle will endear him to them. I don't know if we made an offer that matched Boro's but I'll take the quote with a pinch of salt.
