Humour of the Gods again. I agree
-
TBH I wouldn't. Okay then, from now on I'll just wring my fist with bitterness whenever I hear the word 'Gates' while continuing to use his monopoly creating products. I do genuinely love this. I "can't" have an opinion on here without somehow having some raging personal issue with a person or group. Like I said Gates is what he is, money doesn't wash away sin, but then neither is he the . As for Microsoft they are a ruthless company that have illegally (in the USA and EU) used their monopoly - that is fact. But equally that doesn't mean I want to "kill" them or anything. I'd not like to see MS disappear, but I would like to see a genuine desktop competitor (or two) and for MS desktop market share to drop to something much closer to 50%. That would simply be best for everyone, and massively encourage technological development, it probably wouldn't even hit MS's profits all that much. None of that has much to do with a not needing to be any more a nerd to use something like PCLinuxOS than you need to be a nerd to use windows XP or Vista (although once upon a time you would have been called that for using windows ). Although from an "eco" "ethical" "socialist" point of view PCLinuxOS is well ahead, being open source, "free" (in all contexts) and in fact basically a garden shed operation in many ways (which is impressive when you compare it to the MS economic juggernaut or even Linux distros with decent financial backing). Did I just enter the Twilight Zone or the bizarro world. I said "you're right". I completely agree that Gates is neither good nor bad. That windowes is the best operating system and the worst. That we should all help out linux but not use it. Honestly, Mary Mary, why you buggin?

Pretty sure that was what was used to create Redmond in the first place. I don't get that, but if companies want their product to usurp microsofts, shouldn't they come at it in an original way rather than just rehashing the concept Gates' brigade thought up 20 years ago? Rather than a desktop with windows why not try to introduce a cabinet with drawers (that rings a bell, has it already been done?) or a walk in closet with shelves. You don't get much, in fairness. Out of interest do you actually think Gates or even Microsoft thought up "windows", or are you taking the piss? Yeah, my poindextrousness does leave a lot to be desired. I think they were the first to roll it out en masse. Whether or not they came up with it is moot. Alexander Graham Bell didn't conceive the idea of the telephone, he was just the first to the patent office on an idea that works. Nah, just your intelligence. So you were being serious. You've pretty much undermined whatever "point" you were trying to make then..... what was it again? That open-source linux development shouldn't "follow" windows and ideas that Bill Gates "thought up" [stole] 20 years ago? Out of interest do you know how many genuinely original ideas Gates or even Microsoft have "thought up"? Take your beautiful flashy boundary forging vista aero desktop for example.... then nicked that from Linux. You're right. I apologise for my stupidity. I'll get Linux downloaded when I get in.

Seems a little unfair when everyone else at the olympics are eight miles high anyway.

.com's non-contextualised quotes from Keegan....
-
That's the way, manage the shit out of those expectations. I think we'll be bottom after 3 games and Keegan will be sacked if he doesn't win the fourth.

I could read beautiful prose like that all day long.

Humour like that..... just can't be beat. Another one to the obsession list, I guess. Is it still about Gates? Club Fopicana, drinks are free, Fun and sunshine - there's enough for everyone.
-
Fop. ...oh hang on. I thought you said 'playa hater'.
-
Why are Smith, Duff and Zoggy still hanging around like bad smells that no-one's showing the slightest interest in then?

Clearly this arsehole has a hard-on for Kevin Smith. The fact the frog storm occurs 30 minutes from the end of the film sorta precludes it from a list of worst endings whatever your opinion. And he obviously hasn't watched this one either because the suicide had pretty much succeeded before the arrival of the frogs, who (if anything) only help to finish her off. 2001, Citizen Kane and The Maltese Falcon in the Top 5 Clearly a list compiled entirely on the wind up. -
Either the American led path to bringing the earth to the brink of destruction will be ended, or you'll be thirty quid up. Clearly a win win scenario. Well, £20 up It's long away enough that it'll feel like winning £30 right.

Completely agree. :tinhat: Damn straight. "Will"? Bloody "Will"? It's "I – drink – your – MILKSHAKE!" "Bowling Ball"? A bloody ball? it's a pin. Daft twat hasn't even watched the film man. "Hilarious, yes. Intentionally so?" Er, yes!
