  1. He does his interviews in the accent of his character in the film he's promoting. He feels that it helps viewers drawn to the film by an interview to not dwell on the accent. Consummate. It does lead to your misconception though.
  2. DJ Food - Raiding the 20th Century Awesome. Still free online too.... http://mediamogul.seas.upenn.edu/pennsound...0th_century.mp3 What are peoples favourite mix cds? DJ Food - Now Listen! 3. Do you hate Rupert Murdoch? Don't like the way Sky have way too much influence over English football. I'm not a Luddite and I don't think everything about the PL or Sky's coverage and the money they've contributed to it etc. is all bad by any means but I wouldn't mind seeing their influence and financial clout diminished somewhat. I also think there's far too much football on the box. Live Conference matches man, wtf? If Happy face reads that....... I pretty much agree with all that. Not fussed how much football is on telly like. All games should be on a Saturday at 3PM or a Wednesday at 7.45PM though, which is the only qualm I have with Sky/Setanta.
  4. I've not had any satellite/cable in for years. Haven't missed it a bit. I visited a mates for the weekend a few weeks back and we must have watched 6 hours of a show about how stuff is made. I was impressed by how they make paintballs, but it's not something I really needed to know. I'd much rather the £400+ a year went on a holiday or something.

When the seagulls follow the trawler, its because they think sardines will be thrown in to the sea.

Typical Flip Flop Fop tbh, contrary even when he agrees.
  7. ? ...sure... Just enjoying the irony that Happy Face looks much more like:
  8. I think he disappeared up his own arse.

DvD's have made a big impact, much bigger than video every did really, once they realise that mass volume cheap(ish) DvD sales could make a so so movie that did nothing at the cinema a decent profit maker over a couple of years (much more so than straight to video films ever did). But you've just got to look at things like Westerns to see it's been going on for as long as the movie industry to a significant degree. But the studios are making more sequels, prequels, remakes and superhero films than ever before.

Would you say there's as much quality coming out of Hollywood as there ever was though? Certainly a lot better than the 80's. Probably better than the 90's too. The 70's is always going to be hard to beat because it marked the death of the studio system as it was, and it took a while for the company men to regain control of their directors and for the ad-men to understand what the hipper audience demand.

Films used to run and run when there was no way to watch at home. A success could pull them in at the cinema for years, you didn't need a sequel when the original could make just as much given another cinema run. With home video, the demand for new product at the cinema went through the roof. I think there's just as much quality coming out as there ever was, maybe even more, but with the turnover required to give the public eight or nine prestige releases a week it's only to be expected that some of that is going to be rehashed ideas.

Don't know why this springs to mind... Let me explain to you the kind of man Maverick is. He's a man who knows that when you put another man's cock in your mouth, you make a pact. A bond that cannot be broken. He's a man so dedicated that he will get down on his knees and put that cock right in his mouth.
  13. That's bugged me ever since, but watching it tonight for only the second time (3 years later) I couldn't see what I thought was so bad about it. Really enjoyed it all all the way through this time and might even go to the cinema for the new one.
  14. You want to watch what you call a 'comic'. The nerds will go ballistic.
  15. Slider: Goose who's butt did you kiss to get in here anyway? Goose: The list is long, but distinguished. Slider: Yeah, well so is my Johnson.
  16. That's me put off as well. Watch Men? clearly, he does. He's got bulging biceps and torso's all over the shop again, but it looks like he's been able to turn the homoerotica up a notch with all those hunks being able to make each other gush just by looking at them. He's gayer than Top Gun being played on a pink tv. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  17. "From the visionary director of 300"
  18. Holy nerd vote Batman! The Top 1000 voters only rate it 7.9. Probably more realistic.
  19. Made the foolish mistake of putting the Godfather on at midnight assuming I'd fall asleep. Ended up watching the whole thing of course. Not beyond criticism like. The middle section going up to (and some way into) Michael going away is all over the shop with night and day. All judgement of time goes down the pan. And the contrived plot device which gets Sonny out in the open for the hit stretches credulity beyond reasonable bounds.
  20. The DJ had it on in the Forth on Friday.
