Keane's problem is he's tried gambling on unproven youth, and now he's gambling on experienced premier league quality that never quite hit the heights at their previous clubs. Not the heights he needs to to be able to start the next stage of Quinny's secong biggest club plan anyway. If they don't start moving up the league they're throwing money away when the likes of Bolton survive year after year on a fraction of the cost.
