Up until that point I got the impression everyone was just after a stadium where you can stand and swear and sing and come up with the odd close to the knuckle witicism without being harassed for it (generally by someone without a family history of going to the match and knowing what to expect). You're going to have to make it clearer. From what you've said you've got no problem with drunkenness, swearing or abuse unless it's charvers doing it. Is your issue less about what sort of behaviour is clamped down on or allowed in the ground and more about the sort of riff-raff they let in?

I've seen it. I thought at the time it was a bit sad for 30 odd year old blokes to be constantly ripping the shit out of a 14 year old no matter what he posts, but he brought a lot of it on himself. It seems a strange thing to complain about when many songs the entire crowd join in with are either full of vulgarities ("what the fucking hell was that") or satirise the sexual molestation of the Sunderland dog population ("Keano wanks his labrador"). Fish, as much as you'd like to sanitise the game and have hearty support without rude words or allusions to inter-club rivalry, you're not going to get the Pimms drinking crowd on their feet for 90 minutes giving it all they've got....mainly because you generally have to be pissed enough to make a tit of yourself in the first place.

That's the one thing I do have against the man - he wrote off a season in January which I don't think was fair on the fans as well as selling a real hero of mine.
