  1. Anyone willing to buy him out would be welcome. So the problem is not so much the money and the business, just that Mike Ashley wouldn't suck the cock of everyones favourite manager. Are you just being contrary for the sake of it btw? I thought it was contrary to complain about the money men ruining football, then hope for another money man to save our skin. I am still coming to terms with my mixed emotions on the matter though. That's fair enough, it's just you had a pop at people who initially suggested it was (at least in part) KK's fault. Did I? Can't remember having a go at anyone, I was postulating he was to blame on Tuesday. I'm all fucked up with the news though Link?

  4. Because it may get the middle-management out at least. Otherwise you're going to get the same problems again, unless it's someone installed that is part of the Wise/Jimenez/Vetere/Llambias boys club they are going to be hamstrung and we'll be back here again. Wise (and co.) is cancer, and they club is never going to get anywhere with it (and it looks like all the stories of the last 6 months of backroom power struggles and in-fighting have been true). If they aren't gone we'll be back here again within a season. You'll not get the same problem though. Whether or not Keegan was, anyone taking the job now will be fully aware they might be given players to work with that they didn't ask for.
  5. Same here. I wonder if they'll let me move to one of the myriad of vacant seats closer to the pitch without paying any extra. Seems daft to staff level 7 if everyone could fit in the lower tiers.
  6. The structure is working though. The people who brought in the new players at the club are still at the club. rather than a managerial change leaving the club in disarray from top to bottom.
  7. I still haven't had my refund from overpaying for this years ticket last year.
  8. I think Alex is right, everyone was fully aware of the system, there's just been a clash of personalities between the prime movers in that system. Rather than work through the issues for the good of the club, Keegan has banked on winning the popularity contest (a natural assumption when it's Dennis fucking Wise, Ian Huntley would have a chance) and flounced out.
  9. Her other bloke? The bastard. Sorry, I said the analogies were done.
  10. I've been as bitter at the owner(s) as anyone over the last few days, but I think that's been a knee-jerk reaction. It's been like when your dad walks out on your mam and you blame her for it. What she's done to drive him away? He's the one that played all the best games, kept you entertained and was stronger than your mates dad. She's just a boring old witch that does the cooking and cleaning and sends you to bed early. She's all about discipline and he's all about fun. I love Keegan, but is no-one angry at HIM? How deluded did we have to be to convince ourselves he wouldn't do what he ALWAYS does? EVERYBODY told us so. This club has now gone through 5 managers in 4 years, and each one (before Keegan) was given carte blanche to spend what they wanted on who they wanted. It was an expensive system that brought no success and year upon year knocked us back to square one, as managers insisted they needed to undo the previous managers failures and start again with a clean cheque book. Freddy Shepherd didn't learn from it, he was doomed to repeat the mistakes of his past over and over, the new boys however were bitten once by Allardyce and they aren't going to let that happen again no matter how many dole scum turn up to drink Lambrusco outside the ticket office. They've set in place a long term vision to ensure we secure the best young talent from around the globe, irrespective of the man in charge. Clearly the manager does have input otherwise Keegan wouldn't have been here for 8 months, but it's a give and take process. Even if he is having players forced upon him, he can let them rot in the reserves if he doesn't like them, can't he? Keegan was only commited to the club for two and a half more years. Should the entire structure of the club, agreed by him, have been torn down to suit his short term demands, given that it was a structure he'd agreed to and worked within happily so far. Keegan is an intelligent man, and brilliant manager for this club, but has Mr Newcastle been to watch a game at St James in his whole life if he wasn't being paid? He's a man that understands the Geordie passion and has used it to his full advantage in the past, he's a man who's banked on it saving his skin again this time, but he's come up against more strong willed, ruthless businessmen who will not be dictated to by their employee if it jeopardises the long term success of their business model. Now we are left with our lone parent on the lookout for a new boyfriend we can live with. We'll throw our toys out of the pram when he arrives, and make life difficult for all concerned. When he get's hoyed out we'll be pleased that we were right all along, even though we're only dragging out the hurt for all concerned, and one day we'll grow up and hope for the best for our mam, and accept another good man to take our dad's place. Right, that's the end of my analogies, tin hat on.
  11. To be fair Shearer is into damage limitation He is probably in talks as we speak with assurances of autonomy So that will rule him out. Shearer is a careful bloke and will not allow his reputation to be tarnished If he comes on board i would feel uneasy Too many assurances to a very egoitistical character who will always have an excuse ohh am i being too opinionated If Shearer works for this lot he's a traitor to the fans. Even if it's a case of "Alan, if you don't do it, Dennis Wise will" Shearer could make the ultimate sacrifice. Fall on his sword and save us all from Dennis. I don't know you (yet) lol so won't be rude but i think Shearer has no loyalty at all I think his last season showed that Not for the good of the team as more the RECORD Shearer is an achiever and although noble achievers step over people. Shearer i admire as a man who gets what he wants. At this moment he is at an axis in his life, direction and choices are paramount and his advisors probably hoped 12 months more for KK He won't go in unless he knows what he is up against I believe Ashley will leave before he comes I don't want Shearer btw
  12. But if they do you're free to leave them to rot in the reserves. Starting to feel a bit let down by Keegan now. I'll keep you all posted on my constantly changing moods.
  13. I hope the smash the place to fuck, give Fat Cunt something else to pay for. That would be more than a tad embarrassing.

  15. Fans managed to scale the walls of the stadium to the boardroom say SSN.
  16. My initial anger has already dissapated to apathy. What fucking good would it do?
  17. After the news settled in on Tuesday I started to think with my head a bit more than my heart. Tried to take the owners/middle management view... And after being gutted all over again tonight I can still see that line of thought. They can't comprehend Keegan's connection with the club. Our recent history is the likes of Allardyce and Souness bringing in their expensive flops which have had to be replaced season after season as the manager walks off with a payout. A long term vision minimises that risk. I can't comprehend them not keeping it as a mutual agreement approach though. Why did it work well for 3 months of the window only to fall apart so miserably on the very last day? They had to have taken the piss, big style. One day someone will get to the bottom of it all and it'll all come clear as to what really happened. Could equally well have been that Keegan thought, ah fuck it, I'm popular enough around these parts I'll start laying the law down big style, and it's others sticking to the plan of not having short term staff dictate the long term vision. Am I just imagining Keegan said he would ONLY do the 3.5 years?

  19. That said, if this Indian Billionaire wants to buy Ashley out he'd be welcome.
  20. Aw bless him. Hope he gets better soon. My Dad passed away 5th Aug, He loved KK Can't believe I didn't see this at the time or respond. I was only reminded to check by Isegrems sad news. So sorry to hear it, for both of you. My dad's at home now and doing brilliant. So I'm counting every one of my blessings.
  21. “When you're slapped, you'll take it and like it.” The main offenders will stay away. They'll appoint someone and we'll support them because that's what we do (unless perhaps it is Wise or Poyet). Time will go on and the bitter contempt will turn to underlying distaste, like Shepherd lived with.
  22. The official story has always been Keegan chooses who stays, goes and comes.
