Whereas Newcastle always succeed, don't they? Leeds are the standard bearer man. They're the dictionary definition. "Do a Leeds" is common parlance for fuck up so bad as to NEVER recover.

Looks like Popeye about to eat some super strength spinach.

With journalistic standards this low Tom might get his wish.

I'll say it again. An atmosphere isn't provided by the club. As a fan, that's your responsibility. So why aren't the other 40 odd thousand doing anything about it? You're not even going so I don't think you're in a position to have a go at them. Personally, I think the atmosphere is going to be out of this world at the Hull game. Aye, I hope so, shall be listening to it over the internet. Nothing would do me more proud than to hear St James' bouncing as it should be. Mind, what will happen if Hull score early on and we fail to capitalize on our chances? The crowd will get restless and the old booing will occur again. I really hope we demolish Hull in similar fashion to what Wigan did. "We"? You're going to have to get used to saying "you" if you're a Leeds fan now.

A wind up merchant. Atmosphere doesn't come provided at games. As a fan it's your job to bring it with you.

Wasn't McDermott out of the club for our most succesful period over the last 10 years - Bobby Robson's reign? The bloke's a jinx.

I didn't renew my S/T this season as I knew I'd only be able to make 10 games at the most, but due to the events I won't be going once more this season. I'll probably make around 15 Leeds games though. Why didn't you sign up to a Leeds board then? Because I don't want to sign up to a Leeds board. Sounds a bit masochistic to me then. You don't like what's going on at Newcastle, you don't like the way football has gone, you don't like the lack of atmosphere from Newcastle fans and you're giving up on the club. Fair enough. Your choice. Leeds make you all warm inside with their superb customer care, style of play and great fans providing a top-notch atmosphere. But you'd rather be on the NUFC board with all the miserables than living it up with your new Leeds pals? I'm thinking WUM.

Press Release From true faith and the The Mag
Happy Face replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I don't count Keegan as blameless either, yet. But everyone at the club has made a concerted effort to mislead the fans on how their club is being ran. Whether Keegan was a part of it and tried to use it as leverage, or whether he was misled also is immaterial. He's history and we need to move on. I can't see how we do that with an owner that has such contempt for his customers that his policy is to lie about how he does business, as well as insisting all of his employees go along with that lie to cover what his intentions are with our club. -

Can't agree there. Even the most part-time supporter will be made aware of this. The consensus was to boycott even before this press release. I've had a few "pass it on" type texts advocating match attendance but no other spending. The club shops in town have certainly been barren when I've walked by. -

Looks like a few job losses are on their way to the area then. -
I went with Timbuctoo myself.

Almost £80M spent on a team geared for survival without unloading any of the existing overpaid earners brought in last year, and only 39K crowds to cover the expense. Their bubble is going to burst soon enough.

Both both big bears of men. Not my scene.

Never lived in Newcastle mate. Parents were both from Newcastle, yet in 1940, due to the war and jobs being available in Leeds in a bakery, my Father and Mother moved down to Leeds. They were massive Newcastle fans and I was raised that way. It's not really a Leeds scarf, just an old scarf I bought years ago (about 20) while away in America which just happens to have Leeds United colours. No offense but having never lived in the area I don't think you'll have a real grasp on the situation and how much the club means to not only the fans but the area itself. Where did I question that? I only know way too well! I'm just saying, it's the same in Leeds too. I always remember driving up to Newcastle in the 1970's/80's/90's/00's and feeling nothing but pride when the majority of what you saw was black and white scarfs hanging out of windows etc, then when you went over the bridge and all you could see was black and white, amazing feeling. Sadly, I don't get that buzz anymore. Sometimes I wish we could swap places with Leeds in League One and have a club we could call our own again. So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehen, good night, I'm glad you're gone and left this pretty sight. So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehen, adieu, Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu. It's been a long anticipated decline and many people have been looking forward to getting back to the 30K hard core supporters, who'll sing their hearts out for the lads through thick and thin.

I'm thinking Ashley will be having a January sale where everything must go and then he'll sell the club.

And what are we at the moment? Wa Geordies, Wa Mental, Wa off wa fucking heads.

Just got a text saying the breaking news is Terry Mac and Adam Sadler have been sacked. Same lad who said Wise had his car smashed up like. Can anyone confirm.
