  1. If you can't have a game of guess the movie without people sinking to those despicable levels then I don't know what.
  2. "Dad, I think he's going to pork her!"
  3. Not more art house bullshit i hope!! Blow Up.
  4. To be fair, he never says he'll spend £20M a window on players. Coinsidering Michael Owen costs £6M a year in wages, I think he's talking about £20M just to run the club. Of course, he makes it sound like he doesn't get millions back from TV, advertising, gate receipts, commercial and prize money.
  5. Was it really that Gothic? was only really Wayne Tower and the Monorail that was particularly Gothic in Batman Begins if you ask me. Both of them of Gothic because of the lighting and camera angles. The thing about Batman Begins that a lot of the Action happened at night or "in the narrows", The Dark Knight had the action in day light and on main streets. Seemed like a pointed decision to me to move away from the traditional dark Batman of his first attempt (and moreso the Tim Burton ones) into a more recognisable cosmipolitan city. There's no reason Wayne Mansion and the Batcave couldn't have been rebuilt and used as the base in the latest installment, but he lived in a plush high rise Penthouse and the new batcave was more of a laboratory. It's not a big critism like, just a noticably different (I hate to say it) Mise en scene. He probably wanted to make the comparisons to modern terrorism as pointed as possible so Gotham City had to look as much like any major city as it could to put the viewer in a recognisable location. Artistic license and that. Except it would of been an unnecessary sub-plot. It's gone, the fact that it was destroyed was about throwing off the shackles of the Wayne legacy. So why would he rebuild it? Didn't someone in the film mention how it's being rebuilt? I thought with it being Batman, he'd work out of the Batcave. I never said the film had to include Bruce Wayne's site visits and meetings with the foreman. It could have been rebuilt in the timeframe between films.
  6. I'm in. I'm wearing Geordie Jeans. They're nice and tight....around the arse.
  7. To see a monkey in your dream, symbolizes deceit people are working to advance their own interest. Monkeys also symbolize a playful and mischievous side of your own personality or an immature attitude. To see a monkey hanging or swinging from a tree, denotes that you be troubled by young ones. To dream that you are feeding a monkey, denotes that you betrayed by someone whom you thought cared about your interests. http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/m3.htm
  8. Doesn't really fit into an 8 bar structure for a good chant though.
  9. Are you really that precious as to get upset that someone has lied to you? I couldn't give a toss if he told me the sky was Green and my hair was full and voluminous as long as he delivered success. Aye Wenger has control over signings, and I think that with someone other than Wise and Keegan that's what would have happened here. Keegan would still want the big money signings and wouldn't trust Wise' scouting system, Wise wouldn't want the big signings and would keep pushing his agenda. wrong personnel, but we'll never know what could have been now. I know you are the Fish but I didn't think you would be reeled in by the media with that one. Its yet another myth that gets associated with Newcastle that Keegan was all about glamour signings. Cole, Lee, Venison, Beresford, Sellars even the likes of Gillespie were hardly big names. How many did he actually sign in his time here? Shearer wasn't even down to him chasing him but Sir John Hall wanting him. Hoy in Bracewell, Albert, Peacock, Fox too Mike Jeffrey, Paul Robinson, Jason Drysdale Legends one and all.
  10. This is the worst of his propaganda. I've defended him on the basis that he's pumped a HELL of a lot of his wealth into the club, always on the assumption he was in this for the long haul and wouldn't see a return unless he maintained the club in or above the position he found it. As it is, he's chosen to cut his losses at the first sign of trouble and has said he will not walk away unless he takes a healthy profit, despite the club being a far bigger shambles than the one he bought. Stop with the expensive sob story, you'll not be losing out on the deal half as much as we have.
  11. Could have been worse, could have been Redknapp and El Tel.
  12. Are you really that precious as to get upset that someone has lied to you? I couldn't give a toss if he told me the sky was Green and my hair was full and voluminous as long as he delivered success. He's lost 2 managers in 8 months. Is that the steady road to success you crave. It wasn't the fans that got either of those managers sacked either. You reckon the fans didn't get Allardyce the sack?? I never saw an Allardyce out banner personally.

  14. You can't help but love his chubby little grin and his unorthodox approach. But I see the statement as nothing more than another cynical attempt to win over the Geordies that cost him £200K or so yesterday, and would do again and again for the rest of the season.
  15. Fuck off Fish. The fans are the only people in all this who are blameless. The hell they are. Objectively, we do this time and time again, we demand success our way. We hound out managers when they don't deliver in a season, we've hounded out a bloke who's come in with a genuine "plan" to get the club challenging. Basing our club on Arsenal is not a bad idea at all, they've challenged for major honours on a (comparatively) small budget, they've played some cracking football while they're at it. the only thing I'll blame Ashley for is the hiring of the wrong people for the job. And Jonny, hypothetically, if it was anyone but Keegan I'm willing to put every penny in my pocket against every penny in yours we'd have taken a different view. We've hounded out a bloke who tells us one thing and does another. He stood a few rows in front of me at Stoke away last year and I had not a bad word to say to him then, even as we floundered badly in Allardyce's last game, I believed in Ashley. I've even supported him after Keegan went. But the man is a liar. ...and as has been said. Wenger has control at Arsenal.
  16. Fuck off Fish. The fans are the only people in all this who are blameless.
  17. What have you/we got to apologise for? The demonstrations were and always have been entirely peaceful....and applauded by local police. Shepherd called our wives dogs and still came. No harm came to Llambias yesterday either.
  18. Considering the flat out lies he's told in his previous public statements regarding the club, you'll forgive me if I take all of that with a pinch of salt. Cockney cunt probably thinks we'll all start buying pies again now because he SAYS he'll sell up, honest injun.
  19. Nah, just part of a newsreel from the time. Something to pop into if you get out for an early dinner at work one day.
  20. That's the one bit I can't translate..... what? It means do one. Fuck off. Ok, cheers, I get the "dee a" part but where does "blaa" come from? Is it its own word like charva or gadgee? southerners would say 'blow'. "Do a blow"? Cheers for the help fella, but I'm still a bit lost on that one. Nivva mind hinny. I think it comes from having a blow out. As in a last big night on the hoy before fucking off.
