Someone recently joked that Newcastle should take the Have I got New For You approach to the man in charge, and bring in a different guest manager each week. I never the thought it would turn out to be the case. Appointed for 4 sodding games? Ridiculous. Wonder who'll folow him. Bobby Gould?

Allardyce dismisses player revolt speculation
Happy Face replied to ohhh_yeah's topic in Newcastle Forum
That's what he is though. His ego far outweighs his tactical ability. If he didn't have the facade of being a scientist of the game, he'd be Joe Kinnear. Said in December he's worse than Allardyce. -
It's ridiculous. Chris Hughton isn't the problem, the problem is the players aren't fussed about playing for a man who's only there short term. Even Fergie had the problem when he announced his retirement. Robson had it when he was winding down. Just leave it with Hughton and concentrate on selling up tbh.

It's time for a Sloop top ten like. I reckon it could give Parky's list a run for its money in the pretension stakes. I have to admit Andrei Rublev is one of the ones from the top 100 I've not seen. Come And See Harold And Maude A Matter Of Life And Death The Life And Death Of Colonel Blimp Spirit Of The Beehive Evil Dead 2 Network Are all on my to see list too.

Fucking disgusted with our "loyal support"

Yup, I'd end your association with Ashley, Wise and Co ASAP. And thats the point, why the hell should the fans feel they have to go when the directors dont even arse themselves to turn up? What the fuck? we all know they have no fucking love for the club. We still do though, or we are supposed to have. Shall I ring Ashley and make sure he is going before I turn up next time? We shouldnt be making excuses for those who didnt turn up, we should be shaming them so it doesn't happen again. Last night proved what some of us have suspected for a while, our support isnt all that. If the results and performances had been going the same way but we had some "big name" just signed up you could guarantee the place would have at least been three quarters full. Man U and Arsenal both had 20,000 empty seats. You're getting a bit over dramatic. -

Presuming your not a WUM, why are you ashamed? Shouldn't you be proud to have been one of the 20,000 proper fans? We were outsung thanks to the ticket offices ridiculous stance on seating people. Level 7 should have been closed and everyone packed in somewhere together to make some noise. people were far too dispersed to get any volume. There's always someone else to blame isn't there? the lack of atmosphere was the ticket office not the 30 thousand empty seats. I am not proud I turned up, its what I do. I am ashamed to be associated with the fair weather stay aways. You were there and you're blaming the people that weren't for a lack of atmosphere. 20,000 can make a hell of a racket. -

Director has done episodes of every good US drama there's been these last few years. Might not be too bad.

I have been reading here for a while, I never felt the urge to sign up until now. Do you think last night is excusable? I'm going to have to test your credentials. How much is a boiler? -
They're canny shit at their job like Wise and Jiminez.

We Should Have The Given Right To Trophies!!
Happy Face replied to wykikitoon's topic in Newcastle Forum
I was talking to a bloke in the pub at the end of last season. He was going off it because we hadn't won the quadruple last season, didn't have a single 4-3 result, had some players who weren't geordies, hadn't signed anyone for £20M+ and hadn't appointed Shearer. He was a cockney sports editor like, but y'knaa -

Being one of only two Englishman ever to guide a premier league club to second place in the league I'd say Keegan is better equppied than most managers. But then I'm deluded. -

It is a link to a fun gallery though tbh. The main picture on the front of the sun has never been the start of a Hagar the Horrible. But the Guardian website does quite often use a picture to link to their fun "Gallery" at the top of their football section. It's not the first time and it happened with non-Newcastle pictures as well. I'll take your word for it. It's the first time I've seen a readers photoshop work as the top sports story though. Almost as bad as basing an article on what MattM4 says. -

I don't mind people taking the piss, but to have this... As the main image on the front page of your football coverage rather than in the fun section is a disgrace. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football -
And I thought the mongs on Sky Sports were bad.
