  1. Nixon Love owt like this me. Amazing that it never made it's money back at the cinema. It's almost up there with All The Presidents Men. Gave me a whole new appreciation for the man without letting him off with what he did. Paul Sorvino is immense in it too. Kissinger might be one of history's monsters, but I loved Sorvino's wounded puppy when Nixon has a pop at him. Had to hoy on Oliver Stone's other presidential classic JFK on afterwards. One of my all time favourite films. The paranoia it evokes is so incredible, when I watch it I worry about being targeted by the feds for being in on the secret . A good warm up for watching W.
  2. Current favourites are all about the US election. I like to see what both extremes are saying so i go to these most days... http://www.foxnews.com/oreilly/ and http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/ Then the Comedy Channel stuff like http://www.colbertnation.com/home and http://www.thedailyshow.com/
  3. There's always the next barrier isn't there? I'm sure the next frontier will be as unfathomable to us as visiting the moon was to Ug.
  4. Never thought I'd be in the reality where Ameobi gets a standing ovation in St James' Park again.
  5. I doubt it somehow. Although it would probably lead to a week in the Priory if you were a no-mark rock star. Tomega 3 Chaplin
  6. Omega 3 is da bomb. Aye it is. If I stop taking it for a while I can actually notice the mood change in me. If that happened from alcohol you''d probably be advised to go to AA. I generally take the view that all these supplements are bad...when you're a healthy individual. Didn't want to say so about Omega 3 as it could be perfectly safe. But then lo and behold I read it isn't... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_3#Health_risks Stay off the crack kids. The Fda are against anything that will bring freedom to da people. It's the basics Nicos. Freedom to the people? "Suppression of immune and inflammation responses, and consequently, decreased resistance to infections and increased susceptibility to opportunistic bacteria." The food companies sell junk so people feel like shit. The pharmeceutical companies sell drugs to put a spring back in their step. Those drugs induce greater long term health problems so you buy other drugs to treat those problems. It's a racket man. I'd rather smoke than take Omega 3.
  7. Waste of bloody money that does more harm than good if you ask me. Just hoy some tuna on your jacket tatie a couple of times a week.

  9. Today I read the Speech Rumsfeld gave at the Pentagon the day before a plane flew into the building in which he made it.... http://www.defenselink.mil/speeches/speech.aspx?speechid=430
  10. 0.5% of people think that all conpiracies are encouraged by the capitalist pig dog free marketeers whose stranglehold on the worlds economy is at an all time high along with worldwide poverty. A process that has gone on unchallenged for decades.
  11. I'm seriously on the verge of this today. I felt it coming on on the Metro this morning when it stood still for 20 minutes in a tunnel. The urge to kick off was overwhelming. I subdued it so much I thought I was going to swallow my tongue. Since getting to work I've hardly had a second to catch my breath. Had to go for a dump just to get away from the incessant questions. Leave me alone you FUCKS. Definitely time for a holiday.
  12. A Matter of Life and Death I normally love Powell and Presburger but this one wasn't as good as the best film polls had me hoping. It started filming on the very day hostilities ended in WW2, and the UK/US love in that it descentds into got a bit treacly for me. Shame really because I was well into the bargaining for his life, is he a mentalist or not stuff.
  13. Geet big warm skiing jacket for the bitter winter. Clocks go back on Sunday. Time to get out the scarf and gloves.
  14. should never have been sacked the problem is, he would never have left. should have been given more time to turn the bad start to the season round, (which he probably would have). I beg to differ. Unfortunately he had completely lost the dressing room and the respect of players with over-inflated egos who had no right to disrespect him. He never lost the players, it was the fans who fucked off as if fifth wasn't good enough for them. If a player knows the fans don't back the manager, they're bound to take the piss. I was disgusted with our support at the end of his last full season.
  15. Eh? How do you work that one out? If they win two they'll be on 8 points which is likely to put them 16th... They won't win 2 though. Arsenal and Liverpool are 2 of their next 3.
  16. Oh Danny B the pipes the pipes are calling
  17. My guess is the photos had to be on their PC in the first place to transfer them to CD. Even if they deleted them, chances are they're still in the recycle bin. Just come clean and give them a blank CD to replace the cracked one.
  18. Middlesbrough 0-5 Chelsea Man Utd 4-0 West Brom Arsenal 3-1 Everton Liverpool 3-2 Wigan Aston Villa 0-0 Portsmouth Bolton 0-0 Blackburn Fulham 0-0 Sunderland Not a goal outside the top 4. It's very dull these days isn't it?
  19. You've done well there like Jimbo.
  20. The hole in the wall stuff was class. "Oh crap!"
  21. Giving an interviewer the story behind your tache can only improve your chances man.

  23. I set of The Micky Quinn appreciation Society. Not sure how to invite new recruits yet though...
  24. I'm sure most of us have been affected by cancer. Personally, my dad (and LBW's) has just had a major operation and this week started a 24 week course of chemotherapy. It's the second time he's fought cancer. We've lost several other family members and close ones I'll not depress you with. Anyway, Tacheback is very popular in September and raises funds/awareness for male cancer (I know people on here have taken part and got sponsored by Toontasticers) and now there's Movember which is doing the same for prostate cancer. http://uk.movember.c...at-is-Movember/ I'm not looking for sponsorship though, far better to get everyone to take part and make a donation in doing so. Wouldn't it be a laugh to see an array of freshly shaved faces on here come November 1st followed by regular snapshots of everyones growing glory through the month? You girls, get your fella, brother, dad, uncle, whoever to take part and hoy some money their way for the pleasure. Join The Micky Quinn Appreciation Society using http://uk.movember.c...team.php?join=1
