  1. He's a young lad finding his feet in the league. He's not had half the regular football and he still fucks up less than Taylor IYAM. Another assist on Saturday too.
  2. "The last year he has had serious injuries and he is no longer the player we knew."
  3. "There was a lot of venom in what he has said," responded Ferguson. "I don't understand where it has come from. "When he reflects on it he must realise what he is saying is ridiculous. He is obviously disturbed." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ool/7822570.stm
  4. I've ordered the list by level of improvement and i think it highlights what you're saying. It's clearly in defense where we've made the biggest strides, the whole back four is replaced with better when everyone's fit. Creatively though we've lost Solano, Dyer and Milner who were all capable of doing something (you could add Emre to that too) and only really brought in Jonas who's inconsistent at best. Curiously, we are scoring more goals than in the 2 previous seasons though. And probably also conceding more? The Liverpool result knocked us back. We've kept more clean sheets so far (24%) than the last 2 years (21% and 18%). The improvement is mainly on the road with 30% of away games giving us a clean sheet compared to just 11% for the last 2 years running.

  8. Aye. Since neither of them have hardly played a game since their respective moves, I'd say they cancel each other out.
  9. Is the squad better or worse from the summer when Ashley took over? When you actually compare like for like... Danny Guthrie < Scott Parker Jonas Gutierrez < Nolberto Solano Joey Barton = James Milner Alan Smith = Kieron Dyer Xisco = Alberto Luque Nacho Gonzalez = Matty Pattison Mark Viduka = Antoine Sibierski Claudio Cacapa = David Rozehnal Jose Enrique > Celestine Babayaro Fabrizio Coloccini > Abdoulaye Faye Habib Beye >> Stephen Carr Sebastien Bassong >> Peter Ramage I think we're down one player, and that's Emre, but overall I think the current squad should be able to beat the old one...and it's a lot cheaper. Am I being too kind to Wise and co?
  10. And no matter how hard I try I cant see the fun in getting knocked out in the Quarter finals while bottom of the League. Am I correct in saying that we could actually get to the quarters and not be bottom of the league? I don't see why home games against Hull and Crewe are so scary like. Especially when they're weekend games rather than additional weekday fixtures. Can't the players manage a game a week now?
  11. Just the pacy attacking midfielder we need then.
  12. "NAW. We rape the shit out of them at the Number 6 Dance later on. "
  13. Our goal difference has us 11th, and we're only 5 points from bottom. But it's not just scraping through this season we have to worry about, it's having a Championship quality squad next season. We're 5 points off 8th too, doesn't mean we're good enough for 8th. Indeed so basically we could end up (almost) anywhere depending on what happens this month (as the table is so ridiculously wide open), but we're going to be lucky to do ok this season, and even we do ok this season then even luckier not to be in completely unsalvageable mess next season. A couple of losses for us and the wrong results elsewhere and we're back in the relegation zone....... for some reason that's something slightly more to worry about than inexplicably coming 8th. The fact we havent been 8th this season proves that, its literally a few weeks though since we were in the bottom 3. We've been 4th Graph

  16. The Evil Dead First half hour drags, but once it kicks off it's great fun.
  17. I think this is where Villa picked up Milner.
  18. They were that price for a reason HF Because I'm the bargain hunter extrordinaire. 50 and 60 notes elsewhere... http://www.denims4u.co.uk/product.php?productid=17305 http://www.dumgum.com/?act=viewProd&productId=435 Look alright if your favourite mode of transport is a fucking skateboard. 21. A match made in heaven according to the media who are up Redknapp's arse, of course. "At the moment we have some players who cost this football club a lot of money and they need to be better for the team," said Redknapp. "They are supposed to be quality players - and they have got to show that on the football pitch. "If you look at our results - two points from eight games - it cannot always be the manager's fault, can it? "There are still an awful lot [of players] who can do a lot better than they are doing. We need some improved performances, especially away from home."
  22. I think we both know that's a ''Red Herring''. I don't see how the league position after 21 games can be a red herring. We're shit, but even if you assume everyone below with games in hand will win them, we can still only drop to 13th. Have those 7 teams below us been unlucky for 6 months? I think they're every bit as shit as us and then some. I think the difference is we've been around this position at this point for a few years (we'd actually lost more games after 21 last year) and our squad's been better than that, this time we're about where we deserve to be.
  23. Oh...and they've just given Vidic 3 more points as a bonus. 15*2 = 30 Congrats
