Got round to starting Freakonomics (as recommended by people on here in the past I'm sure) today. Only a couple of chapters in but it's cracking if you're a stat fan like me.

Totally agree people should show their frustration and the club is being run bady from a first team pov. But he will have been calculating exactly how much to spend or profit with an eye on the bottom line. It is a classic baseline investment approach where growth/profit is extrapulated from within the business and not from returns on outlay. When do we reckon he'll have covered his initial investment and will be able to start investing the clubs earnings in the team rather than on covering his arse? Before we're down in league 1?
