  1. Questions for Llamby-arse had to be in by Monday didn't they? No clue when the shit is going down though. Considering Ashley's last statement was around christmas and it promised the new year would see more communication, I'll not hold my breath.
  2. If Stevie Taylor was having a pop at me because I "haven't got the stomach for the fight", I'd name check him as indicative of the shite I had to train with.
  3. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7869090.stm Poor lass Poor kids Fucking Hell, only 27 Same age my nephews mother went. Like Jimbo says. Tragic.

  5. Got round to starting Freakonomics (as recommended by people on here in the past I'm sure) today. Only a couple of chapters in but it's cracking if you're a stat fan like me.
  6. On a par with music and films. Often gives me butterflies, but more often proves a complete waste of time. When they're shit I don't really get too down about it though. Certainly never bad enough to put me off coming back for more because when it's good it's glorious.
  7. Course he will, he's at a top 4 club now man.
  8. It's quite interesting (in the loosest sense) to compare it with Shepherds corresponding first 32 deals as chairman.... Almost the exact opposite of Ashley...but not in the way you'd have thought. Almost always in profit and only just getting some debt going later. Of course, Keegan walked out on Shepherd because of it didn't he. Wonder why Shepherd survived it but Ashley doesn't seem able to. [/baggio]
  9. Hes made enough money from previous windows to cover the 5th one and still gain a profit. The bastard Not quite. He spent in the first 2 windows and was almost £20 million down at one point in the summer. He's up on the last 2 windows enough to just be in profit overall.
  10. He's literally taking a shit on the stands of St James' Park.
  11. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/jan/0...oll-inspiration One of my all time favourite Dylan tracks...
  12. Totally agree people should show their frustration and the club is being run bady from a first team pov. But he will have been calculating exactly how much to spend or profit with an eye on the bottom line. It is a classic baseline investment approach where growth/profit is extrapulated from within the business and not from returns on outlay. When do we reckon he'll have covered his initial investment and will be able to start investing the clubs earnings in the team rather than on covering his arse? Before we're down in league 1?
  13. It could be like a whole new signing indeed Imagine the sheer shock in the football world if Alan Smith banged in 15 goals by the end of the season and kept us up ... a boy can dream. More likely to be Ameobi.
  14. I wish Baggio had been proved correct
  15. They're not clueless, they just had no intention whatsoever of bringing in the players that were needed during this window. They wanted the cash from City and that's all. Why is Dennis Wise the most highly paid non-playing employee at the club if recruitment is such a low priority? Because it fits the 'system' that Ashley thought would be a great idea. .com make the following point: Their transfer policy changes with the wind..... Ryan Taylor - 56 Premier league appearances Petaer Lovenkrands - 159 SPL league appearances Kevin Nolan - 296 PL appearances

  17. Love how we got £6m when the point is how shit they are at getting a players value, but we got £8m when it comes to highlighting Ashley's profiteering or to get some money out of Baggio.
