  1. Worth watching the 4 minute build up to the last 30 seconds of this. The wifey's an idiot.
  2. Tragedy could have been averted if he wasn't:- Muslim Terrorist ISIS Sympathising Mentally Ill Homophobic Repressed Gay Loaded to the teeth with semi automatic weaponry Strange how long it's taking the US coverage I've seen to get to that conclusion. They're much faster when it's a straight teenage white male.
  3. Sorry to hear your news Stevie. Hope your lass is alright.
  4. Thanks chaps. Paged out by work at 1am and again at 5am. 10 hour conference call with a cast of 40 all day. Was meant to settle down with a carry out and football at 8pm. But still trying to get the eldest to sleep after the in-laws filled him with sugar. Shit day.
  5. Thought we had Olivier Bernard doing that.
  6. Makes me think of a Cynaide & Happiness like this one, but not this one... Love the idea that she's been driven completely tonto by all the shit she's had since she was 8 or something though. Since leaving the Hound she's basically been lying in her own piss in an alley.
  7. Lass reporting for the BBC seemed to think he came across OK too... From the scene: Sarah Sturdey, BBC current affairs reporter It's been said Mike Ashley is often kept away from the media because of his tendency to speak openly and sometimes too frankly. And having protested loudly about not needing to defend himself to MPs, the usually outspoken and bombastic boss of Sports Direct showed a more human side. Before a packed public gallery, which included ex-Sports Direct workers, he admitted some of his employees may have been paid below the minimum wage last year, before security checks at the company's warehouse in Shirebrook were streamlined. But to a certain extent, he did hold up his hands and said an internal investigation would "go on forever". He also said he would allow "impartial people" to carry out a review of the company if he was asked to. Mike Ashley said too, in response to allegations a woman who wanted a contract was sexually propositioned by managers: "Honestly - they're repugnant, they're disgusting - what do you want me to say? Would you like it if you were me?" So what now for Mike Ashley and Sports Direct? It seems like the boss is keen to make some changes. "You people are pushing against an open door, you're not pushing against a closed door with me. So 90 days then I'll write to you to say it's different."
  8. From the edited 5 vminutes the Mirro0r picked out I don't think he came across too bad. Then again, he had his PR man Bishop alongside him rather than a solicitor or any of the SD executives, so you can assume the mea culpa was all PR bollocks.
  9. Just got this. Done me hand in and not been able to type. Brenda's going mad I can't work.
  10. Between 1991 and 1996 NUFC had 5 years running of average attendance growth, adding 19,600 to attendances overall. Between 1995 and 2001 SAFC had 6 years running of average attendance growth, adding 31,041 to attendances overall.
  11. 3 times they've added or lost 10k fromn their crowd since the Premier League started. Newcastle just the once.
  12. It's a tribute to Dr fox, a Dr mind you, who said on Brasseye "paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact, there's no real evidence for it but it is scientific fact."
  13. Shame the chronicle style is one line paragraphs
  14. sticks in the craw to hear him talk about the benefit for the city when then club have been so averse to working with the council, mps & supporters. But, we'll move on in hope ashley can.
  15. Isn't there a history between mackems and dogs? Roy Keane's unnatural affection for them or something? Sounds like experience talking to me either way.
  16. What else can they do to be fair? Turn on Allardyce? They have to save that for October.
  17. A Rafa blog I did for the Chronicle has gone up too. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-fan-blog-rafa-11388759
  18. I was going to include the shame of thinking back that it was because he was the only black like. Glad you picked up on it without being explicit
  19. I was careful not to make any blanket statement about fans of either team, just my experience. Closest I got was that it "made me wonder if it reflects differences in the wider fan bases." The response on RTG has given us some indication
