  1. Cabaye man get a bit of hot salt water swished round and get on with it.
  2. This is a good read for anyone interested: http://www.kyeo.tv/2012/09/28/opinion-why-field-music-deserve-the-mercury-nod/
  3. I get and respect your post completely to be honest, I'm just canny after drink and on a downer about the night/another trophy-less season. Still positives in Elliot, Tav and Cisse. Btw, my reckoning is that you certainly would care if the mackems won the league cup. The noise from their end would drive the deafest dog insane.
  4. My point is that people seem to be suggesting that winning this would not be like winning 'any other cup' as it isn't akin to others in terms of stature or respect. It's easier to get pissy and say that the league cup is a shit cup than accept that there goes what is probably our best opportunity for another year to break the mould and actually win something. As HMHM said earlier, it hurts when you care.
  5. Some people post on here as if they wouldn't celebrate winning the league cup. Give it a rest man! Imagine the buzz around the town if we won it? The boost to the players to feel like they are in a winning squad...even if it is the FA cup's embarrassing little brother that some people seem to make out.

  7. Surprised at a few of those like. Any news on the bench?
  8. I'd fucking love it if we won the league cup tbh. This is obviously a naive comment to make as there would require a huge reshuffling of how qualification is achieved but the only way I can see in which the league cup gets the starting 11 playing rather than subs and reserves of the 'big teams' of the PL is if the winner got a slot in the Champions League qualifying round.
  9. Freddie Ljungberg ganning radgie on MOTD swearing and putting Colin Murray about like a knob
  10. He's going to be a great player, and is showing signs of being one already. Under no illusions that he won't go back to Milan eventually like. Find him a joy to watch at times.
  11. Problem with the situation of Cisse (or any goal drought striker) being chosen to take a penalty to get them up and running is you run the risk of them missing it, and their lack of goals becoming a massive 'thing'. Worry that if Cisse doesnt score in second half he'll suffer even more with confidence after the game having missed a penalty. ...cue the hatrick with the left, right, and head
  12. edit: meant to put Cabaye's shot. Was referring to the chance he squandered when he put his boot through it and blazed a good opportunity when he could have placed it better. Delivery has been better than last few games like.
  13. Also, Cabaye... howay man have a word with yourself lad.
  14. Should never have given Cisse the pen. Perhaps if we were 3 up aye, but that could have been a massive moment in the game to gan 2 up on the stroke of half time. Hopefully we won't rue it. Williamson has played well, ben arfa mint as per, Anita looking good too. Would like to see a couple more goals for us mind. There for the taking this lot.
  15. Same. Field Music though. Would be fucking class if they won.
  16. ^ This. Also would agree with the Vorm shout. Here are a few others: Russell Martin Steven Taylor. Sessegnon (to an extent - when he is on his game, he is fantastic to watch even as a mackem. Reckon that if Redknapp hadn't got the sack then he'd have gone to tottenham.) Distin. Turned into a pretty reliable defender. Nathan Dyer. Abou Diaby. Guthrie. Barton as a player is/was great on his day at what he did too. That Raheem Sterling looks a cracking prospect too. Not sure if he is 'underrated' like, but I reckon he could turn into a brilliant player. Also, while we are on the subject even though he has left - I know I might get some stick for this but Kuyt I always thought deserved a bit more credit that he actually got (at least outside of the red side of liverpool). Over rated players: Phil Jones

  18. Sunday games are always hair of the dog crack. Prefer Saturdays when weekend is still in its relative infancy.
